Kaya Toast
Cries 2012-07-14

The toast bread from this Wang outlet may be quite disappointing for me and I was quite upset that why not all the outlets have the same standard of toast bread. The one which they have serve to me here are not toast until perfection. Not as crunchy and not as much kaya and butter fillings as compared to the other outlets of Wang which I have ever visited and tried. Hope they are able to improve their food standard very soon.

The kaya toast was really good. Salted butter was used and you can taste the salted butter! The balance of the butter and kaya was great. The kaya itself was very well balanced and though it was a little bit too sweet, it was very fragrant. Overall, very good toast and coffee for reasonable prices!

mee rebus
Smile 2012-01-27

I was walking around suntec city with my girlfriend and we decided to head to wang café for lunch. I ordered myself a bowl of mee rebus. It was really good. we did not wait long for the food to be served. the gravy of the mee rebus was really thick and tasty. there were quite a lot of tau pok bits in it. they also added a hard boiled egg. I like the gravy as it is not too sweet and spicy. When squeeze the lime, it gives it a tinge of sourness. The noodles are very smooth and goes well with the gravy. The portion was not too much but just nice.

Tea @ Wang
Smile 2011-11-30

Simple yet tasty - this is how I would describe the toast sets of Wang cafe. Beside toast sets, Wang Cafe also serves local delights such as Mee Rebus, Mee Siam, etc, which is worth trying.

However, I find that the toast sets are slightly more expensive than most of its competitors such as Toastbox, Ya Kun, etc. Hence, if given a choice (i.e. both Wang and example Toastbox are located in the same vicinity), I will not choose to dine at Wang cafe.

Wang Cafe - Suntec City Mall
Smile 2011-06-30

Wang cafe serves great coffee and tea, and toast. It’s a nice place for chilling with friends. It suits a coffee or tea lover totally as they have the cold and hot beverages. I ordered the kaya toast with butter. The spread of the kaya and butter was generous and it costs only $1.40.

Curry Chicken Bee Hoon
Just OK 2010-12-28

The curry chicken with bee hoon is tasty. Even though the curry is abit diluted, but it is not as spicy as I thought it to be. Love the curry potatoes as it is not too soft or hard.

The chicken is not that fresh even though the chicken drumstick is quite big. However, love the chicken curry and would eat it again next time.

Wang Cafe
Smile 2010-12-27

Tea and coffee always perk me up whenever I’m feeling tired. After lunch, I normally head to a coffee outlet to have a cup of tea or coffee before going back to office.

I ordered the Teh c which costs $1.40 per cup. As usual, all these cups of coffee are small in portion and you can finish them in a few sips.

The tea has a strong tea aroma and it feels very thick. I requested for less sugar so that it will taste so sweet.

A nice and comfortable place to chill out before heading back to work.

Teh With Milk
Smile 2010-12-17

Decided to stop by Wang Cafe for a cup of hot tea with milk after shopping for a few hours in Suntec City. The tea was brewed hot and fresh. It was thick, and for the milk too. My teh was served in the traditional kopi cup with saucer. Drinking my teh brings back fond memories of my younger days. If you looking for a place for good kopi or teh, must stop by Wang Cafe.

Good toast set
Smile 2010-12-15

We were quite hungryafter some doing shopping so we went into Wang Cafe for some snacks. I ordered a butter and sugar toast set that came with two pieces of toast, two half boiled eggs and one cup of coffee. The soft boiled eggs were just right, not undercooked or overcooked. However, the cafe only provided dark soya sauce but the sauce was not able to enhance the taste of the soft boiled eggs. A pity though. The toasts were good. You can smell and taste the aroma of the toast. It was so crunchy and crispy. The coffee was thick and not too sweet. Overall. I like the toast set from Wang Cafe.

Better of the local cafes
Smile 2010-11-13

Wang is one of the two local cafes that are my favourites.

Drinks - Their coffee and tea are well prepared and tastes rich and authentic. The coffee blend is fragrant and freshly brewed (i.e. no sour coffee!). The coffee-c and teh-c is nicely made, not the bland and diluted types.

Food - the mee siam is quite nice, not too sour. Mee rebus is rather dissappointing as it is too spicy!

Service - friendly

A little dissapointing is their recent price increase. sad

Serenity - Away from the crowd of Suntec
Smile 2010-11-11

Located at a more quieter level of Suntec City, its probably a good hideout to rest your aching feet from your shopping spree.
Its a rather open concept setup - Similar to Yakun, Amei or similar establishment.

I like their yuan yang.
Their proportion of coffee and tea are just right for me.
Aroma of traditional coffee with the silky smooth texture and taste of your usual teh.
Good to coupled with a few thin slice of toast.

Mee Rubus is not bad over here.
Laksa: Not my type.
Meesiam: Average.
