Signature Dishes
I was feeling a little adventurous today and so I decided to try the Macadamia Nut yoghurt at Yami Yoghurt (YY), away from the usual Natural flavour. Besides it's the first time i have seen the flavour appearing at YY.I ordered it with Fruity Pebbles (my favourite choice of toppings though YY offers a wide selection, like raisins, nuts and also fruits). My first impression is that the Macadamia nut taste is so faint that it's hardly noticeable. I tried very hard to locate the taste but it's just so weak. Even my sister who tried a bite said that if i hadn't mention that it was Macadamia Nut, she had think it was the Natural Flavour one. Quite a let down flavour-wise but it is still a nice dessert to have.

My recent visits to Yami Yogurt was not as fruitful as I thought as I didnt manage to get a try on the banana boat which was placed under their promotion list. I went half an hour after the opening hours and was told that they were not ready for banana boat as the lady is still preparing the fruits. I ordered a mix flavour, however I was given a full cup of peach flavour. This was not the first time that they had got my order wrong. =_=". I come to realise that the level of service is somehow dropping.Added with cashew nuts as toppings, the number of nuts given was quite miserable. The regular cup of peach yogurt and cashew nuts toppings cost me S$3.25.

Headed to Yami Yogurt for dessert after dinner. I ordered their original flavour yogurt and added cornflakes as my toppings. I like their original flavoured yogurt, it is not bland at all, in fact, it tasted a little sweet, a little sour. It also has this milky taste. The yogurt is so smooth. The corn flakes is a good combination with the yogurt as it is very crispy. A contrast in texture as oppose to the smooth yogurt. It is a good dessert.

The heat is really getting me. my girlfriend and I are trying ways and means to stay cool. One way we discovered is to eat cold stuff. So we got ourselves a yami yogurt to share. We got the original flavor in small cup to share. Yami yogurt’s fro-yo is really very milky and creamy. its sweetness is just right as well. it is not too icy. Some frozen yogurt leaves your tongue numb cos they are really icy but this was not the case for yami yogurt.

FROYO FTW! Loving Froyo because a) it is low in calories, a great food to snack on without any guilt b) probiotics are good for the intestines c) a great option to replace ice-cream. I'd a regular cup of rockmelon w/ granola as my topping. I guess that rockmelon is going to be one of my favourite flavour from Yami Yogurt now. I think that granola is the best match for froyo. 2 thumbs up! ^^
