Bought a packet of specialty duck rice at $4 from Yu Kee stall. This duck rice consists of rice, duck meat, half an egg, beancurd and peanuts. Its rice is fragrant and drenched with the sauce. The duck is tender and tasted quite nice too When eaten together with the chili, it is really delicious! continue reading

I had a bowl of Handmade duck noodles or $3.80. The price is reasonable for the portion. The duck meat was thinly sliced so there were not much kick in eating it but they were very tender and was soaked well in the gravy. The noodles were thin and had a good texture too. The soup had a slight herbal taste and was quite nice and rich. If you love duck noodles, try this out continue reading

Ordered a bowl of duck noodles for $3.80. The noodles were handmade and they were rather nice and springy. The sauce was a good compliment to go with the noodles. The duck meat (stewed) were flavourful and tender but the pieces were quite small. The shortcoming is that they are rather stingy with the duck meat. Nevertheless, it is still worth a try but not a must try. continue reading

FoodYu Kee has been around for more than 10 years in Koufu west Mall and i was introduce to this stall by my school mates during then. They were also being awarded for the fine culinary skills.Well known for its duck rice is their specialty stew sauce.I wanted something light for the night and decided to order the kway chap set instead of the duck rice set. Love the herbal soup that the kway are all in. The bowl comes with some spring onions on top as garnishing and soup base is not too oily and herbal smell are of right amount. The organs are well braised and contain little or no intestine smell. It is served with pork belly meat, fish cakes, and all those that you can get from a normal kway chap stall. Sauce are not overly gluey and it tastes just right.ServiceService are fast and good.AmbienceSince it is located in koufu food court, I took some time in securing a seat. Crowded environment and seatings are issue. PricePricing matches the portion and is quite standard for Yu Kee's outlet. Reasonably affordable.Recommendation / TipsIf you want the best of both world, you can order your kway chap with duck meat too. continue reading

i took away the braised duck rice from the duck rice stall at west mall. The rice was really delicious, it was very fragrant and had this strong yam taste. The duck was sliced pretty thinly, its meat is just so tender. I think that their gravy is really good, very tasty, not too salty, it kind of brought out the fragrance of the rice and duck. The tau pok was very juicy, I liked the braised sauce it is cooked in. continue reading
