This is my first time trying out the pandan cakes from Bengawan Solo. Priced at $1 per slice, it is quite expensive, considering $2 can get an entire sponge cake from Giant or Shop and Save, of course at a lower 'quality'. Anyway, the cake is very fragrant and quite springy to the touch. I thought it is very soft and tasted fresh - not those stale cakes which have been left out for a long time. Anyway, the cake is very fragrant and quite springy to the touch. I thought it is very soft and tasted fresh - not those stale cakes which have been left out for a long time. Overall, I think I probably would not buy it again, since the taste isn't that fantastically good to make up for the high price.
