There are three types of broth to choose for the steamboat. The chicken, Tom Yam or Herbal Broth. If you opt for the Herbal Broth you will have to pay another S$6.00. The other two broths are part of the lunch buffet menu. We chose the chicken broth for today's steamboat. From the menu we chose prawns, fish fillet, chicken fillet, house special shrimp balls, shrimp wanton/dumplings, three plates of fish glue, chicken ball, golden mushroom, Chinese cabbage and local lettuce..I am disappointed with
I am disappointed with today's diluted chilli sauce. Previously, the chilli sauce was thick and the minute we dipped the food with the chilli sauce, it will wrapped the food nicely but today the chill sauce dripped easily.
One of the popular dish is their shrimp wanton/dumplings. Here are the photos before and after cooking. There is generous amount of meat with prawn and mushrooms for each dumpling.
Instead of ordering the Bee Hoon or Silver Noodle, we ordered the chicken rice. I highly recommend the fluffy and fragrant chicken rice to go with the steamboat dishes.
In total we ordered seven plates of fish glue. We have eaten the fish glue so often that we pretty good in cooking the fish glue ourselves. The hot soup are spread on top of the raw fish meat. Using the metal spoon, divide the fish meat to six sections and slowly scoop the meat and place each section into the broth to cook. Lunch at S$24.00++ per adult.
