1. Malaysian Food Street

Singaporeans craving Malaysian delights across the Causeway need just to head down south of Singapore to the Malaysian Food Street at Resorts World Sentosa. Famous hawkers are brought in to bring these delights from across the border, such as the Huen Kee Claypot Chicken Rice ($9.50/$15 – with salted fish), boasting an irresistible aroma and a wonderful traditional taste brought about by the charcoal used to heat up the clay pots. 2. Insadong Korea Town

Reproduced from the Insa-dong street in Korea, Insadong Korea Town promises to only serve authentic Korean grub. Here, you can find many renditions of Korean and Korean fusion food such as Korean-Western, Korean-Chinese, and so on. Must-try items include their Napa Wraps with Pork ($15), Xiao Long Bao in Kimchi Soup ($13), and a dessert named J-cone ($6), which is a hollow, J-shaped corn snack (hence the name) stuffed with vanilla ice-cream. 3. Slappy Cakes

Touted the best Family-Friendly Restaurant by Parents World in 2014, Slappy Cakes allows its guests to try their hand at flipping pancakes with 5 types of homemade batter – such as the Buttermilk ($8.50) – and top them up with their sweet and savoury fixings, like Banana ($2) and Roasted Mushrooms ($2) and sauces, such as the delicious Lavender Honey ($3). The menu also includes all-day breakfasts as well as mains, for instance, the Pan-Seared Cajun Chicken ($18), which was oozing with fragrant Cajun spices with each bite. 4. Nam Nam Noodle Bar

Nam Nam Noodle Bar serves affordable and quick Vietnamese cuisine without compromising on quality, with their personal assurance that their food is devoid of MSG. Their breakfast and lunch value sets are especially ideal - for $6.50 - $9.90, customers can choose from a selection of banh mi (Vietnamese sandwiches) or pho (Vietnamese noodles), along with coffee or tea. 5. Mel's Drive-In

Mel’s Drive-In is easily one of the most packed eateries in Universal Studios Singapore – and for good reason too. They not only offer value combos that will stretch your dollar, but also a variety of sides like the ever-popular cheese fries and onion rings. For a maximum of $13.80, you get a burger of your choice, served with fries and a drink. 6. Cedele Bakery Cafe

Cedele is better known for their guilt-free, wholesome foods, and their bakery cafe branch at Resorts World Sentosa is no exception. With the recent introduction of breakfast sets starting from $6.50, customers can now have happy wallets in addition to happy stomachs. The All-In Breakfast ($15) comes with bacon, sausage, mushrooms, scrambled eggs, and toast, and is served with organic coffee or wellness tea. 7. PISCO South American Kitchen & Bar

The bright, striking ambience of PISCO South American Kitchen & Bar reveals its vibrant personality – authentic gastronomical delights bound to whet your appetite. Bask in the sunny ambience of Kith Café to kick-start your day in Sentosa! Their airy interior and wood-panelled floors set a relaxed and slow-paced holiday mood that doesn’t come by often. Although some of the pastas exceed $20, their breakfast, sandwiches, and salads are safely in the range. We recommend the Big Breakfast ($18), which includes your choice of toast and eggs, bacon, smoked bratwurst, grilled tomato, and spicy Tomato Beans. Located along the quiet stretch of Quayside Isle, &Made Burger Bistro specialises in, well, burgers. For burgers under $20, there are already half a dozen to choose from. Situated along the beach, Coastes is the ideal place to unwind and let your hair down if you’re looking for a bite. Its great location is not the only thing to check out – their menu offers a variety of choices that will fit nicely into the budget. 11. Tastes of Asia

Tastes of Asia is a casual eatery that will curb your cravings for all things Asian. In addition to staple local fare like laksa and chicken rice, the menu also consists of perennial favourites from Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, India, and even China’s cuisine. Try their Chicken Dum Briyani ($9.80), an aromatic combination of spices and basmati rice topped off with a whole chicken leg that is bound to satiate you. The sea salt breeze and the sound of the waves crashing against the shore would greet you at the Wave House Sentosa Restaurant + Bar. Joe and Dough’s menu consists mainly of sandwiches, coffee, pastries, and cakes. However, don’t be fooled by their humble selection - their preservative-free sandwiches and painstakingly prepared coffee has met with a lot of positive reviews. Despite having several branches, the café makes sure that only the best is served by baking their own bread. When you’re there, give the Bacon Mushroom Melt ($8.20) and Hazelnut Latte ($5.90) a try. 14. Straits Express

Located at Imbiah Lookout, this cheery-looking kiosk sells takeaway Snow Ice ($8) in different fruity flavours and local delights such as Curry Chicken Rice ($12) and Curry Vegetable Rice ($12). On a hot day at Sentosa, we recommend the Mango Snow Ice ($8) for those seeking a refreshing sweet treat from the sun.
