Before Jamie's Italian opens its doors later this year, the celebrity chef and TV personality has one favour to ask of all artists in Singapore…
“Leave your mark on the restaurant please!”
Taking after the trademark graffiti design element found in Jamie’s Italians across the UK, Jamie and his team want a budding street or graffiti artist to design an original artwork for one of the restaurant’s large feature walls. If your passion has always been art, don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime chance to showcase your work through a permanent graffiti masterpiece on a timber wall (dimensions – 10.5 metres in length and 2.3 metres in height).
As Jamie and his team are hoping to see just how creative and unique your ideas can get, the brief is only limited by your imagination as an artist. The idea is to create something that diners will be able to admire for years to come.
Ready to leave your mark?
Send three relevant examples of your recent work and a vignette(s) of your proposal to design@jamieoliver-int.com, with the email subject as: Jamie’s Artwork Singapore – (Your name here).
Submissions are to reach Jamie’s team by 1 April 2013. The chosen artist will be notified on 15 April 2013.
The time has come to make (art) history with Jamie Oliver – get cracking!
As for the rest of us non-artists, let's stick to watching Jamie create beautiful dishes on screen before we can really get a taste of the real thing. Here's a clip on how to make ‘Chocolatey Tiramisu’ – Jamie Oliver style!
