Feast like kings this October at The King Louis Girll & Bar, with their amazing Halloween-themed dinner set – The King Louis Halloween Feast ($89.90++ for 2/3 pax, $149.90++ for 4/5 pax). Earlier this week, we were treated to this amazing spread of 4 courses together with some of our OpenRice and OpenSnap members.
With a burst of colourful Halloween décor, every detail of this meal will put you in the festive mood. For starters, Highlander Pumpkin Soup will be served. Seasoned to perfection, this rich and creamy concoction is best eaten with the generous piece of garlic bread atop the soup.
A serving of Caesar Salad will be served next and is a good appetizer to prepare your taste buds for the main dishes. For non-salad-lovers, there is an option to switch it up to The King Louis Platter. The King Louis Platter includes, Deep-Fried Onion Rings, Potato Wedges, a small Corn and Lettuce Salad and two Garlic-Chicken Bratwursts. Sinking your teeth into the bratwursts, the juiciness and the burst of flavours will have you going for seconds.
The star of the meal is none other than the proteins. Be treated to generous portions of meat atop freshly boiled potatoes and vegetables. The platter includes – Roasted Beef with Black Pepper Sauce, Premium BBQ Baby Back Ribs, Roasted English-Style Queen Pullet and Lamb Steak with Rosemary Herbs.
Grilled to perfection, the ribs fall off the bone gracefully .The pork meat is tender and thankfully not overcooked. The BBQ sauce is glazed on top of the meat and complements the overall dish well.
The lamb chops were well seasoned and tasty. The brown sauce that is drizzled on top marries the whole dish well. It is best eaten with the boiled vegetables as it gives a variation to the texture and crunch.
The chicken, even when it is grilled whole, did not over cook. The thigh meat is juicy and full of flavour. Paired up with the roasted potatoes, this chicken dish is light and pleasant as compared to the other dark meats.
The Roasted Beef Steak will be served with the done-ness to your liking. Medium rare-medium doneness is recommended to ensure the steak still retains its flavours. The whole steak is first roasted then sliced down into serving portions. It is then finished off on the flaming grill to have the slightly charred outer layer.
To finish a hearty and filling meal, a scoop of Coconut Ice Cream is served with some crunchy almonds and drizzled with honey for added sweetness. Soft drink jugs will also come with the whole set meal.
At such a steal, this feast is definitely worth it for the satisfaction you get. Perfect for gatherings or pre-Halloween party meals. This feast will be available from now until the end of October 2014.
