Delicious and Great-Value Thai Signatures at Baan Khun Nai Authentic Thai Cuisine
2013-09-18
When it comes to Thai cuisine, can you name a few of your favourite dishes off your mind? Needless to say, the usual suspects will often be the Tom Yum Soup and Green Curry! Recently, at an exclusive Food Tasting Session, our lucky OpenRicers got to savour a sumptuous spread of delicious traditional Thai dishes at Baan Khun Nai Authentic Thai Cuisine.
Chef Kwang pays close attention to the presentation, flavour and taste of her dishes
Don’t all of the dishes here seem irresistible at first sight? Bringing the flames up, we had the Mango Salad (top right) and the milder Glass Noodle Salad (bottom right) topped with a generous portion of chicken, prawns, cuttlefish and freshly pounded spices. Thankfully, customers can choose the number of chilli level according to their preference when ordering! Never judge a book by its cover, the Grilled Pork with Homemade Thai Sauce (top left) was completely wiped off of the plate as members enjoyed the smoky char-grilled aroma with tantalizing Thai sauce that has a unique sweet, sour and spicy flavour. Both the Tom Yum Seafood Soup (bottom left) and the Olive Fried Rice (bottom centre) complemented each other well as the tasty rice with minced pork helps to balance off the spice from the soup.
Mouth-watering Thai curries! Green Curry Chicken or Dry Curry Pork for you?
Not forgetting the signature Green Curry Chicken (top right), it is filled with a generous portion of crunchy eggplant which goes well with rice. However, the Dry Curry Pork (bottom left) stole the heart of our OpenRicers with its succulent sliced pork stir-fried with creamy sweet coconut curry gravy. We also had the Thai Style Steamed Seabass (bottom left) nicely de-boned and drizzled with a good douse of spicy lime sauce perfect for both young and old to enjoy. Even after so much food for the night, all of us could not resist the Mango Sticky Rice (top left)! We were fascinated by the beautiful presentation on a leaf-like dish. Creamy coconut milk drizzled on moist and sticky rice accompanied by sliced mangoes; it disappeared into our stomachs within a minute!
