The lounge area looks extremely welcoming, especially if you're here for drinks with friends
Skyve boasts a seemingly endless amount of space, and that’s what we love about the wine bistro. Featuring an all-day wine and dine concept, it doesn't matter if you're at Skyve for breakfast or after-dinner drinks, you can choose from three different dining areas be it the shady alfresco area, the quirky main dining hall or the ultra-comfy lounge area. It’s also entirely possible to hold birthday celebrations, corporate functions, engagement parties and other events at Skyve; just drop them a line to find out more.
Feast on new a la carte additions
Sous-vide Egg & Spaghettini
With nearly 20 new additions to the menu, you’ll be spoilt for choice dining at Skyve. An excellent starter to go with would be the Sous-vide Egg & Spaghettini ($18++) – this truffle-infused pasta delight makes us think of brunch on a lazy Sunday morning with its soft poached egg and bits of iberico ham.
Other lovely starters we recommend include the Crab & Tomato Momotaro ($22++), which consists of crabmeat, confit of tomato momotaro, Thai-style basil pesto and lime sorbet, as well as the incredibly clean-tasting Compressed Watermelon Oyster ($34++ for 1/2 dozen of each type of oyster), a mix of diced compressed watermelon, pickled watermelon green and extra virgin olive oil.
Cereal Crusted Cod
Moving on to the mains, how ‘bout something familiar to the taste buds? The Cereal Crusted Cod ($36++) comes with seasonal vegetables and soyu ginger vinaigrette and is bound to remind you of the well-loved cereal prawn dish sold at tze char stalls. If you’re craving for meat, you can’t go wrong with either the flavourful grilled marinated Lamb Rack ($40++) or the Tongue in Cheeks ($36++) – sous vide 6 hour Wagyu beef cheeks with tempura of smooth Wagyu beef tongue.
Also, don’t forget to pair your food with the right wine! Skyve offers over 70 labels of quality and pocket-friendly wines, with prices starting from $49++ for a whole bottle and $11++ per glass.
Mango & Cheese Semifreddo
Finally, as some would say “the best part of a meal”, we have the desserts. We couldn’t get enough of the Mango & Cheese Semifreddo ($12++), a pleasant, floral treat made of rippled frozen mousse, frozen lime foam and sablee cookies.
Got room for more? There’s also the decadent Tiramisu ($12++). Skyve’s rendition of this classic Italian dessert comes with lady finger sponge infused with coffee liquer, whipped mascarpone cream and Kahlua granita. Simply irresistible!
