No menu, no fancy presentation, only signature Cantonese dishes
Do not expect any menu here because they only serve their signature dishes here, which can be counted with the tip of your fingers. No doubt the Song Fish Head with Bean Paste (top right) was fresh, smooth and delicate. Topped with mildly salty bean paste and accompanied with lard, that old-school flavor was simply irresistible.
Another top favorite was the Prawns with Tofu (bottom right), which was drenched with luscious egg gravy. The prawns were huge, crunchy with the veins neatly removed; and the inside of the tofu was so soft that it melted in the mouth. Other dishes that are worth trying were the Minced Meat with Salted Fish (center left) and Beef with Kailan (bottom left). A Cantonese meal cannot do without a soup, so we had the Watercress Soup with Pork Ribs (top left) perfect to cool the body down.

If you are looking for a traditional Cantonese restaurant to dine at which your parents will approve, Sik Wai Sin Eating House will be one of the better options if you do not mind the lack in variety.
It was a sumptuous night for our members as we left the restaurant having a taste of good o’ Cantonese tze-char, which remained unchanged over the decades.
