Food Tasting: Famous White Bee Hoon at You Huak Restaurant
2013-06-18
Contrary to what most people think, there’s also some good food you can find in the north. One example is the famous White Bee Hoon at You Huak Restaurant located in Sembawang. For years, this zi char place has gained a number of loyal patrons who queue for hours, whether it’s lunch or dinner, just to savour its specialty -- the Seafood White Bee Hoon.
Located opposite Sembawang Shopping Centre, this hidden gem is always packed with loyal customers.
Of course, we just had to let our OpenRicers try and see for themselves what has made it so famous. So, we invited 5 of them for dinner at this place for another session of our OpenRice Food Tasting.
It was nothing short of a feast when we ordered the restaurant's famous dishes for our OpenRicers.
What was on the menu were: Indo-Style Fried Chicken Wings Calamari Sambal Kang Kong Prawn Omelette Seafood White Bee Hoon To know more about what our OpenRicers thought of the dishes, especially the Seafood White Bee Hoon, click here.
With happy tummies, the OpenRicers smiled for the camera before calling it a day.
It was definitely a mid-week dinner feast for our OpenRicers, who went all the way to Sembawang from work, just to eat good food in the company of fellow foodies.
