This famous Mee Siam has a modern twist to it with the addition of fruit juice in the soup.
What makes this local dish stand out from the rest is the addition of fruit juice into the soup. Owner of the stall, Mr. Daniel Soo, said that he came up with this unique idea 12 years ago. His ingenuity really paid off for his creation set his stall apart from other stalls.
After a hearty Mee Siam lunch, our invited OpenRicers happily posed for the camera.
The soup was spicy with a burst of refreshing flavour. Soup alone won’t make you full so ingredients of crayfish, chicken, and seafood were generously added. There was less of that distinct shrimp paste taste we’ve grown accustomed to with our usual Mee Siam, but it was a good change which our OpenRicers enjoyed.
