Glaze your Palate at Paradise Pavilion
2011-01-25
While not everyone has the chance to travel the 7 wonders of the world, one can at least be pleased to enjoy the 7 wonders of food in Singapore! OpenRice has found one in the heart of Singapore's new financial district. Paradise Pavilion is the latest innovation from the Paradise Group which offers a world of culinary pleasures we can enjoy.
Though it is Chinese cuisine, you wouldn’t notice it at first because of its French neo-classical influence when it comes to its interior. But once you see the fire brick oven in the middle of the restaurant where their Peking ducks are roasted, you’ll then be reminded of its true nature. Though they have a wide array of dishes on their menu, the first thing you must try is their signature culinary dish, the apple wood-roasted Peking duck.
Authentic Roasted Peking Duck $88
When you think of Peking duck, you might recall 'Quan Ju De', China’s most renowned restaurant for Peking Roast duck. Founder of Paradise Group Eldwin Chua wanted to bring its authentic taste in Singapore by using the same technique to prepare this dish. They also use apple tree wood, flour crepes and ingredients for the sauces, which are all imported directly from Beijing. Executive Peking Duck Chef Zheng Jing Chun makes sure that the duck is freshly-roasted (for a whole 45 minutes) upon order with and to be served within minutes. This makes sure that it still has the authentic taste everyone is craving for. As for the taste, you should definitely try the duck's breast skin. Also the fattiest and the meatiest part, it's served in thin slices and best enjoyed with a dab of sugar. It melts in your mouth almost instantly and gets you craving for more! Apart from the Peking Duck, Paradise Pavilion also carries various signature dishes that showcase a variety of exquisite delicacies such as the Combination of Pan-Seared Foie Gras and Crisp-Fried Lobster Meat with Truffle-infused Mustard Dressing, Poached Chicken in New Szechuan Style, Nourishing Double-boiled Sea Whelk Soup, and a decadent Wok-fried Ramen with 6 Headed Abalone in Abalone Sauce.

Drop them a line at 6509 9308 to place your order. If you have any dining experiences at Paradise Pavilion you want to share, why don't you write your own review about it!
