Korean Indulgence at Oh Neul Han Jeom

Yet another fun-filled Food Tasting session has come and gone! On 23 November our OpenRicers were at Oh Neul Han Jeom on Telok Ayer Street. Oh Neul Han Jeom is an authentic Korean BBQ restaurant which serves healthy, tasty Korean fare. What’s special about this joint is the infra-red technology used for the BBQ grill, which helps reduce the smoky odour from the grill and allows food items such as meat to retain their juiciness. In other words, you can say goodbye to stinky post-BBQ odour on your clothes and hello to succulent meat straight off the grill!

Haemul Pajeon – Korean pancake; Budae Jjigae – stew with ingredients like ham, kimchi; Galbisal – premier beef short rib; Jokbal – pig’s feet; Woosamgyeop – thin sliced beef brisket short plate; and Yangnyeom Moksal – marinated pork collar neck were on the tasting menu that evening. Accompanying the fantastic food was rice wine served in the “Magic Cup”, a chilled cup which apparently brings out the sweetness of the alcohol. Verdict?
