Seafood, Seafood, Glorious Seafood!
2012-11-21
This past weekend might have been a gloomy one with lots of rain but not for some seafood-lovin’ OpenRicers! The lucky bunch visited Uncle Leong Seafood – the very famous seafood joint in Punggol – for some delicious crustaceans and more during this Food Tasting session.
From its humble beginnings as a small neighbourhood coffee shop in Ang Mo Kio, Uncle Leong Seafood has evolved into a full-fledged restaurant. If you don’t know by now, this is actually one of THE places to go for crab. “Shimmering Sand Crab Delight” is Uncle Leong's iconic signature dish, and our lucky OpenRicers got to have a taste!
The OpenRicers got to feast on the Shimmering Sand Crab Delight, Fortune Chicken, Crab Bee Hoon Soup, Guinness Pork Ribs, 'Chye Poh' Fish, Chinese Spinach with Eggs and the Signature Deep Fried Beancurd. Not forgetting the bonus desserts of Yam Paste and Sea Coconut with Longan that were thrown in as a last minute surprise by the very friendly staff! All this for a cold rainy day by the scenic riverside made all the foodies absolutely happy and satisfied. Find out exactly what they thought of the delicious food here. There’s no doubt Uncle Leong Seafood serves up the best crab so there’s no reason why you should be missing out. Be there or be square!
