After Bryan Wong gives the members a short introduction about Vietnamese cuisine, the OpenRicers proceed to make their own summer rolls.
Before the feast began, they were greeted by the restaurant manager, Bryan Wong. He first did an introduction about the culture and his love for this cuisine. Then, to make the session much more fun, he challenged the members to a summer roll making competition! After he demonstrated how it was done, he then let the OpenRicers make it themselves.
Armed with the wrap, shrimps, lettuce, carrots, and other ingredients, they proceeded to prepare their summer rolls. It looked easy, but the hardest part was rolling it into the right shape. After an intense session, it was Verlyn who emerged as the winner! After all the hard work, they also got to eat their Summer Fresh Rolls with Prawns and Chicken creation together with another starter, the Crispy Fish Meat Rolls! These were served with sauces, which just made the food tasted 110% better.

Vietnamese food is also known for its noodle dishes. And so, the OpenRicers can’t really visit Pho Stop without trying one of them—the Grilled Pork Chop Dry Noodle. One serving was actually good enough for 2 people. But for this session, each member enjoyed one bowl all to themselves! Everyone enjoyed it because it was generously topped with ingredients! The big slice of meat also made a difference. It was served with a special sauce on the side (like all other Vietnamese dishes).
Oh yes, even Vietnam has desserts too! For the session, the members were served with assorted desserts and ice creams. Well, it sure was a way to end the meal on a sweet note! To further cleanse the palate from a hearty meal, they were served with their choice of Vietnamese Dripped Coffee or Vietnamese Lotus Tea.
Perfect group shot to end the food tasting session!
