Most of the stalls were cleaning up when we arrived People's Park Complex Food Centre for dinner. We saw that there was one stall where people were queuing and decided to give it a try. They offered Char Kway Teow and Hokkien Mee. We naturally go for Hokkien Mee since it is their signature. The hokkien mee was quite nice, soft tasty noodles infused with the flavourful broth.Read More

This is one of the more well-known hokkien mee stalls in People's Park food center. I ordered a plate of hokkien mee and when it arrived, it smelt very fragrant. The stock used to cook the noodles is very rich and thick and the noodles after having absorbed the stock was very tasty. I always add the lime juice into my noodles as it provides more contrast and a tangy aftertaste to the noodles. Of course, not forgetting the chilli which is spicy enough. The ingredients are also fresh. My craving for hokkien mee is satisfied with this plate of well-fried hokkien mee.Read More

The fried hokkien noodles at Hao Ji Fried Prawn Noodle taste really good. I ordered take away packed in a box which costs $3. The noodles are neatly packed and still in tact despite reaching home much later. The noodles, squid and egg portion were generous for the price. The noodles was well fried at the right temperature.
