Voted as top 10 best Fishball noodle and displaying these credentials proudly on their stall, I had to check it out myself. Stall Chef - even with a queue early in the morning, uncle still greets each customer with politeness. Plus for me already. I've had enough with those nose-in-the-air snobs who think my air is all thanx to them (sorry...haze season rant)Noodle - I ordered meepok dry and I appreciate the QQness of the noodle, leaving each mouthful with that slight bite. Al dente the Italian call it. Nice!Sauce - I requested for more spice and more vinegar. Their sauce didn't disappoint and it costs the noodles beautifully with even till the last month. Fishball - I was surprised that their Fishball has no fishy taste to it! It's quite flour-y but at least they tasted good. Soup - it is clear but full of flavour! I had to ask for seconds!!All in all a very satisfying meal which I will definitely return for more! continue reading

Fish ball noodles have always been one of my favourite food and this shop have been my favourite stall. They give a generous portion for their Xiao Wan Mian. They give 2 vegetable ball, 2 meat ball and 3 fish ball on top of the regular ingredients at the price of $3.50. The portion of noodles is also rather generous too… They usually open in the morning and closes by 1pm. Like most stalls in Singapore, they close on Mondays. continue reading

As usual, I settled my lunch with colleague at wet market nearby my office. Going to eat something soupy and I choosed Fishball Noodle stall at the corner. Not the first time ordering at this stall, yet it was my first review for it. The queue was there when I reached, the boss was busying cooking one bowl by one bowl. Quick and experienced, the waiting time was not too lengthy actually. I ordered Hor Fun instead of Noodles. I knew that Noodles would easily become mushy in soup while Hor Fun would not. Table-tennis sized of Fish ball, it was springy and bouncy. Mainly selling of Fishball and Fishcake, they were all freshly made everyday. Big version where the ingredients were generously given, and the portion was fulfilling. Common hawker price, it costed me $3.00. continue reading

My hubby got this bowl of fishball noodles for me while I find seats for both of us. I got him to get for me the mee kia which is the thinner noodle. The fishball noodles include ingredients like prawn ball and meat ball besides the main ingredient which are the fishballs. The fishballs are quite chewy and has a lot of bite in them. Just the kind of fishballs that I like. The prawn ball is also quite special and very nicely flavoured. The sauce used to flavour the noodles is also very tasty even without having to add chilli. I will definitely order this again. continue reading
