Whenever I visit Redhill Food Centre, I will usually order BBQ stringray from this stall. The stall only has three large numeric letters "138" as its stall name. It sells a variety of BBQ stuff such as stingray, sotong, chicken wings and satay. I like the stingray here because of the spicy samball chilli that was spread on the stingray and the chinchalok with onions dip for the stingray. continue reading

i went to redhill market to eat with my girlfriend. we ordered the sambal stingray and sambal kangkong from this bbq seafood stall. The portion of the sambal stingray was not exactly worth the amount we paid for it, so we were kind of disappointed. It was rather fresh though, the meat was kind of sweet and went really well with the sambal. My girlfriend found the sambal a little too spicy. Their chilli dip was pretty nice, a little sour, a little sweet and a little spicy went well the stingray meat. The kang kong on the other hand was good, though they used the same sambal. It was cooked perfectly as you can taste the crunchiness of the vegetable. continue reading

Although the Sambal Stingray from this stall wasn't good, I tried the chicken wings on another day when I came with friends. The BBQ chicken wings were surprisingly really good!It definitely exceeded me expectations. The meat was very succulent and juicy. The addition of lime enhanced the flavours and made it more heavenly. Also, the chilli provided went really well with the meat.Loved the chicken wings!!At $1 a piece, it's definitely worth it! continue reading

i was at redhill having dinner with my family. We decided to order a sambal stingray to share. we ordered from the nearest stall to our table. As we ordered a lot of food to share, we ordered the smallest serving. It turned out to be really small. I was rather disappointed with the dish. The stingray that was served to us somehow did not taste very fresh as the meat was rather mushy. There was no sweetness in the meat. The sambal was not as nice as I expected it to be. It was rather spicy though and I had to eat a lot of rice with it. as a whole, we were rather disappointed, maybe we were just simply unlucky to get a not so fresh piece. continue reading
