For more reviews, visit www.umakemehungry.comRelocated from Jurong Heavy Vehicles Carpark, 818 Seafood is now located in the canteen of WCEGA Tower. The ambience is seen an upgrade from the former place, it is now not that run down and cleaner environment. Comparing to what was before, there were a significant increase in their man counts and all were very attentive to the customers needs. The plate of Ee Mee has a close taste to those traditional kind, with pork lard, vegetables, prawns and lean meat in the sweet and dark sauce. However it still lack the punch as the taste was merely just a layer taste on the items and was not prominentThe lemon Chicken was cripsy in its exterior and juicy in the underneath. I like the way how the lemon sauce was done and still retaining the crispiness of the meat. Lemon sauce was watery base and wasn't those sticky and gluey type I often see from a plate of lemon chicken rice. Overall, I find the food is not bad and often we get to see families gathered around for dinner during the weekends even in their former venue which is quite out of place. Having said this, since they have moved to a better environment, I still kind of miss the old school place where they used to operate. continue reading

Located within the heavy vehicle carpark of Bukit Batok, most people would not even think of there having any food outlets there. It turns out to be, that place is great for sliced fish steamboat ($24)! There's quite a few ingredients within the steamboat itself, and the yam is really soft and yummy! I had to order extra yam at $3. Another dish to try is the hot plate beancurd. Quite a typical dish, with egg tofu and some veggies and egg at the bottom of the hotplate. An all time favorite The satay stall at that place deserve some compliments too. The chicken meat is well marinated, sweet and tender. And the satay sauce is love~ Fragment bits of peanuts and not that spicy. It comes with the rice and cucumbers as well, but slightly pricy at $0.60 each. continue reading
