Before this, i already had a nice tapas dinner but after all the walking, i am hungry again!! Haha. Didn't want to walk too far and since coffee club is right in front of me, i decided to walk in for a drink & snacks! Wanted something easy to eat so i opt for teriyaki chicken potato skin & a refreshing cold drink. To me, teriyaki chicken potato skin is like comfort food! Yummy combination and topped with teriyaki sauce to enhance the taste. Pair it with a nice cold lemonade, i end the meal with a happy tummy!  continue reading

My friend & I were finding for a place to chill at night and this outlet opens 24 hrs! As we had a pretty late heavy dinner, we decided to share something. There were still a range of cakes on the display counter and we had the Panna Cotta cake. The whole cake is soft and creamy and very refreshing! There were a few pieces of chocolate at the sides and it was topped with vanilla cream. The perfect dessert to have just before bedtime! ;) Besides cakes and drinks, coffee club also serve mains, sandwiches, pastas etc. continue reading

I usually walk by this place and see people enjoying their food and drinks in the alfresco setting but I didn't really like the idea of being subjected to the fumes from the heavy traffic along Orchard Road while baking in the heat. During one Saturday evening, a friend suggested eating here since other places seem to be having very long queues so we ended up here and managed to grab one of the last few tables or else we had to queue again.First up was the shellfish bisque which was full of seafood freshness and flavours but not to the extent of being overwhelming. I have tasted versions which tend to be a bit strong on the fishy taste so this should be quite acceptable to most people. The lychee smoothie was good in the sense that it took away the heat felt due to the lack of aircon and wasn't too sweet. As for the honey glazed chicken, there isn't a lot to say about it since I felt that it was just so-so. I couldn't taste which part of it was "honey glazed" and the chicken felt a bit dry so this wasn't very satisfactory in my opinion. continue reading

My draw to coffee club will be the Muddy mud pie ($9.50) which also makes me return every time i crave for it. This is huge and come with generous amount of chocolate fudge drizzled on it with Oreo bites sprinkled at the top. You can feel some tinge of coffee taste complimented with chocolate ice cream. This dessert was satisfying to the taste bud and definitely good for sharing. Apart from this, I actually had my main there as well. I ordered the Seafood Saffron Rice ($19) which was alright which came with one big prawn at the top. The seafood taste was powering and heavy but I felt portion wasn't that much. My friend ordered the Lobster Bisque Baked Rice ($14.50) which came with two half shell scallop. I tasted some and really like the cheesy taste. This however tasted lighter than the Seafood Saffron rice that I was having. I enjoyed my food there and this outlet at Wheelock is an open-air alfresco dinning. Although they have coolers but it can get really hot in the afternoon since I was having lunch there. It will be perfect in the night though. Will definitely be back again for its Muddy Mud Pie! I hate lonely afternoon eating lunch alone (boo hoo) cos my hubby busy with work. Went to Coffee club at Wheelock Place. I ordered Garlic Prawn Pasta. The waiter who served me was very friendly, he noticed that I was alone and a little moody so chitchatted with me for a bit. Al dente pasta was cooked with fragrant garlic, chili flake, onion and tomatoes. The prawn is fresh and crunchy. Somehow food don’t taste as good as all if you’re on your own, so I’m pretty confident this tasted great!I definitely would come back again to try more of their dishes and this time with great company. continue reading
