My hubby ordered a plate of mee goreng for dinner. Wow to his surprise the mee goreng was fiery chilli hot and very salty. The dish lacked of ingredients, there were only a couple of small cubes of potato, some stalks of spring onion and bean sprouts. A couple chunks of cucumbers with tomato ketchup were added to the dish. There is no char on the noodles to give a smoky flavour. The traditional ingredients of mutton and canned green peas were missing. The only power of the Mee Goreng is the bright red colour of the fiery sambal sauce. Priced at S$3.50 per plate. continue reading

We came here to eat at night, so it's nice and quiet, great place for supper. The staff was a little slow in the service. Slow night I guess. We ordered the Prata with Egg and Nasi Goreng Ikan Bilis. The Prata with Egg was well cooked! Great consistency of charring and crispiness. Curry was not watery like some places so it went well with the dipping. Nasi Goreng Ikan Bilis was nice and fragrant, just a little too oily for my liking. When there was almost zero traffic for hours in the middle of the night, I parked illegally and here comes the Cisco traffic police and I had to run off half way to drive away my car, make a circle before I come back and he's gone. continue reading

Meet up with an old friend and decided to have supper.Since this is the only halal 24hr Coffee shop that is relatively near my house, i decided to give it a shop.Normally you wont shouldn't eat anything heavy late night if you're afraid of putting on weight,so I shared the Cheesy Roti John w/ chicken with him. Only cost like $4 which is not too bad. I like the presentation though! Not many eateries in coffee shops do such presentation like this. The server was patience enough when i kept requesting for more mayonnaise! The bread wasnt crispy or soft as i hoped it was. A bit hard to chew, not much cheese nor chicken though. But it was okay. The place seems to be a good place to chill out. Its always full during weekends especially late at night. continue reading
