Ajisen Gourmet Town (Closed)

Located right outside NTUC at nex, is this huge Ajisen Gourmet Town. It offers slightly more food than your typical Ajisen.I was drawn to the display, it reminded me of all the Japanese food I had in Japan, as they also have these same kind of display.I was keen on trying the Chicken Tenshin Han Set!!!Each table has a ipad ordering system, you can order your lunch specials here and it allows for customization (e.g. no spicy, change soup to miso etc)Most of the ramens here just taste MSG heavy so

One thing that I like about Ajisen Gourmet Town @ NEX is that it houses two of its restaurant brands Ajisen Ramen from Kyushu, Botejyu from Osaka as well as one of its own self-developed brands, Aji-Tei (means ‘a restaurant of tastes’) under one roof so customers can get to savour different types of Japanese cuisine. This food hall runs on a similar concept as the Japanese Gourmet Town at Vivocity.Okos just means ‘okonomiyaki’ in short which is a Japanese savoury pancake with various ingredients

This "town" is situated on the floor of NTUC, Pizza Hut, Qiji and other small snacks stalls. The decor and stuff is not very outstanding and it's quite dark but it's very big, so it shouldn't be hard to notice. Maybe they can put more lightings. This gourmet town has a different concept from the other Ajisen Outlets as they combine Ajisen with Botejyu that mostly sells the hotplate noodles or pancake and Aji-Tei that sells Japanese Styled Curry. For me, my choice when I visit this is still Ajisen Ramen.I ordered their Kids Menu set today for my son that comes with a bowl of ramen that is more than sufficient for a kid. This stir fried noodles in the hot stove is quite delicious and really suit my taste. The thick yellow noodles are very chewy and not too soggy. The sauces use in this noodles are not too salty and blend in really well with the noodles. Love the generous amount of cabbages and carrot slices in it which added that extra nutirition value and added that extra healthy content in it too. Served hot which ensure the quality of the noodles has been maintained.

Food is good and price is reasonable. their set that includes a main, a side and a drink cost around 13.90 to 14.90 before GST. Serving is generous and service crew is efficient. However, much could be done with their customer service. Staff attempted to explain the promotional set but got all of us confused instead.

i went to try out this branch of ajisen. This branch is somewhat bigger than the other branches I been. I ordered their moon light seafood plus salmon premium set. It was very worth it, for $14.90, I had a nice set meal with one oko and one slice of grilled salmon. The oko was so delicious, the chef just spam a lot of sauces on top, making it a little sweet. the seafood inside the oko is so fresh and they are cooked perfectly. i love ajisen’s ramen, was there with a group of friends to celebrate a friend’s birthday. I ordered my usual char siew ramen. I like how the Japanese char siew taste so different from the chinese char siew. The soup taste very tasty due to the delicious char siew and the ramen is really good, does not stick to the teeth.

After wandering around Nex shopping mall for quite some time, me and a couple of friends decided to stop at Ajisen Gourment Town to eat ramen! The town is made up of three different ramen restaurants. Beef set meal, oh my god. It's really delicious. The beef meat is really tender and tasty. The rice tastes awesome with the beef sauce and big chunks of carrot add different texture and extra sweetness to the overall taste. It comes with a free flow of ice lemon tea so i think it's worth it even though i got really full after the meal and didn't have the stomach to ask for more refills.

Newly opened Ajisen in NEX mall. The food were pretty okay despite it being newly opened. Had fried prawns with mayonaise. Nice, juicy and tender. Their sushi were fresh too. Sweet crabstick, cucumber and egg all rolled with rice and fresh roe. Yummy.. Sushi rice is not too sticky and soft. They had a lot of other Japanese food like ramen etc. Give it a try!
