For the complete review, click / copy the link below:http://www.chubbybotakkoala.com/2016/06/alkaff-mansion-italian-gourmet-buffet.htmlIntroducing the Monthly Italian Gourmet Buffet in Alkaff Mansion. This buffet will showcase the popular dishes from Sunday Prosecco Brunch, as well as the scrumptious Italian Grigliata Grill plus bar at Alkaff Mansion Ristorante. The Italian Gourmet Buffet dinner is available only on the third Thursday of the month, unless announced otherwise through social media. The highlights of The Great Italian Gourmet Buffet are: Coffin Bay Oysters. This South Australian Oysters are fresh and plum. I like my oysters simple, with a touch of lemon. You can taste the simple freshness of the oyster when it glides down your throat. A good start to the buffet. Carpaccio. There are a few selection of carpaccio in the antipasti, such as Wagyu Beef Carpaccio, Tuna Carpaccio with Orange & Black Olives, and Octopus Carpaccio with Orange & Balsamic Reduction. Our pick is the Wagyu Beef Carpaccio, not commonly available, where the thinly sliced beef just melts in your mouth with the tangy dressing. Yum Yum. Mozzarella Cheese. The perennial favourite dish Mozzarella Cheese with Tomato & Basil. We just can't say no to it. The soft texture of the cheese, sliced sweet tomatoes and aroma of the basil definitely our pick for cheese salad combo any day. Pizza. A must try here. No matter what toppings they put on it, the combination of thin crust, marinara sauce and generous mozzarella cheese just made it delizioso. Lamb Rack. The Lamb Rack with Sardinian Vermentino, The lamb was tender and succulent, as it was marinated with Italian white wine. The balance of the fats and meat is just spot on. Though the 36-hour marinated Beef Striploin is good, but it just can't beat the lamb. We are guilty of finishing about one rack of lamb here. Grilled Sardinian Octopus. To be exact grilled Sardinian octopus leg. Not the first time that we tried this in Alkaff Mansion, but not the one to be miss. Slightly hard to chew on this time around, but still give a pleasant taste. Desserts. The chocolate desserts are ... Chocolategasm!!! There is a special chocolate cake, which basically infused with chilli. Yup Cake with chilli. The people here just love their chilli surprise, just like the chilli mix in the cocktail, named Alkaff Potion. (Please note that some of the chocolate cake contain coffee, if you are allergic to coffee like LD, you might have to check on the content in the dish dessert). LD's favourite is the chocolate profiteroles. This bit size desserts is just so irresistible, you just pop it in your mouth one at a time. Yum Yum. Overall, it was definitely a pleasant experience to be back in Alkaff Mansion. The food definitely top notch and so does the service. So check out the details below, as well as the menu for the buffet. Ciao!! Cheers!! Thank you very much Alkaff Mansion Ristorante and H3(Cube) for the tasting invitation. Alkaff Mansion Ristorante occupies this beautiful property restored to the glory of yesteryear, complete with a sleek garden with fountain, as well as open terrace for al fresco dining. This exquisite, award-winning Italian restaurant serves up authentic Italian fare for lunch, dinner and weekend brunches. They started a Grigliata Grill concept lately as well. The interior is grand, elegant and romantic, complete with dim lighting and large chandeliers, a modern touch to the carefully-restored vintage floorings of the colonial mansion. Tables are well-spaced, and choice of furniture is luxe and comfort combined, making for a good dining experience. Private dining rooms are available as well. Service is a little slow and has room for improvement. Music was also American pop at one point, which was a little odd against the posh Italian settings of this retaurant. For starters, we had the Pan-seared Hokkaido Scallops (SGD$28.00) with Cauliflower Purée and Avruga Caviar. I needn't describe the popping sensation of the delicious caviar - tiny but robust. The scallops were orgasmic - springy in texture, contracting firmly under the knife and expanding juicily again thereafter, catching the teeth with its delicious flavour. For mains, *V had the Homemade Veal Ravioli (SGD$28.00) in Alba Truffle Cream Sauce and Porcini Mushrooms. The pockets of minced veal was utterly soft and smooth, melting lusciously in the mouth with the robust, solid truffle cream. The mushrooms added flavour and texture to the creation, bringing it one step closer to heaven.I chose the Porcini Mushroom Risotto (SGD$28.00) Superfino Aquerello with Thyme. Flavour was distinctive and sapid in an earthly manner, with the aroma piercing the senses sharply; the dish was smooth and creamy - a little too creamy; the risotto became like congee literally. For full review and more detailed information, please feel free to visit:http://thearcticstar.blogspot.sg/2016/01/dinner-at-alkaff-mansion-ristorante.html continue reading

For more details, please visit http://foodesteem.blogspot.sg/2014/05/alkaff-mansion.htmlAlkaff Mansion have 3 sections in total, The Restaurant, The Terrace, and The Bar. Of course, for more al fresco dining experience, The Terrace would be the only choice!Breakfast on the Terrace: Sausage with eggs, mixed salad, zucchini & eggplant fries ($15.00). I love the sausages, and the two "cubic" toasts, but scrambled eggs simply made my anticipation dived! Alkaff Mansion's scrambled eggs, is as real as its name. So scrambled, that you don't need to slice it at all.Breakfast on the Terrace: Smoked Salmon with eggs, zucchini souffle and mixed salad ($15.00).What interests me is the zucchini souffle! It tasted like mixture of zucchini and potato, being mashed and sent for baking. Would also like to compliment about their Sunny sides, which is pretty well done too!Breakfast on the Terrace: Waffle with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, wild berries sauce, and whipped cream ($10.00). Alkaff Mansion's waffle look fantastic in presentation, but just a mere touch of the knife on the waffle, I felt a tinge of disappointment set in. Lacking of crispiness, I can only depend on the vanilla cream dripped with the sweet berries sauce to make up for it.For more details, please visit http://foodesteem.blogspot.sg/2014/05/alkaff-mansion.html continue reading

The food here is awesome! Had company dinner here and the food had a few varieties. Mashed potatoes, lasagna and smoked salmon are must try dishes. The mashed potatoes were creamy and milky while the lasagna is filled with beef inside! Smoked salmon is pretty fresh and good for appetizers. As for desserts, the fruit tart is really good since the crust is crispy. continue reading

Full Alkaff Mansion Ristorante review here: http://ivanteh-runningman.blogspot.sg/2013/08/alkaff-mansion-ristorante-tasting.htmlSet amidst the serene and picturesque Telok Blangah Hill Park, the restored colonial facade of the Alkaff family mansion now houses the Alkaff Mansion Ristorante. With its panoramic views of the park, impeccable service and authentic Italian food, Alkaff Mansion Ristorante is an excellent choice for romantic dates, special celebrations, and business dining, provided you're willing to spend.Ambience at Alkaff Mansion Ristorante exudes an old world colonial charm. With its classic European-style architecture, beautiful fountains, romantic gazebo, and quirky giant rocking chairs (What?), Alkaff Mansion Ristorante is not surprisingly used for wedding solemnisations. The interior has an elegant, rustic charm, with its high ceiling, wooden panelling and solid furniture. Alkaff Mansion Ristorante has a rather spacious layout, and the second floor can been booked for functions.I find the service at Alkaff Mansion Ristorante to be hospitable and impeccable. The excellent service at Alkaff Mansion Ristorante stems from staff's attention to little details, such as plating design, choice of words when speaking, body language, and more. Staff at Alkaff Mansion Ristorante have good product knowledge, able to explain the various intricacies of each dish, such as preparation and type of ingredients used. They are also able to cater to specific dietary requirements to a certain extent.Food at Alkaff Mansion Ristorante is authentic Italian, focusing on cuisine from the Tucany region of Italy. Tuscan cuisine is characterised by freshness of ingredients, simplicity in preparation, rustic and hearty dishes and wide variety of game protein. Executive chef Marco Guccio heads up the kitchen, and his upbringing in the agricultural industry means he insists on hand-making dishes using quality imported ingredients. Such high quality of ambience, food and service means a high price as well, and a typical 3 course meal at Alkaff Mansion Ristorante will cost about SGD $50 - $70 per person. Average price per dish is about SGD $30. Personally, I feel that prices at Alkaff Mansion Ristorante are reasonable. continue reading
