At Basement 3 of Orchard Ion, it is one of the most crowded food halls I have ever been to and even though there is a wide variety of food to choose from. Amasoy stands out! Mainly because it's a simple dessert stall with very reasonable prices for the Orchard region! At just $2 for a japanese pudding, I think it's something everyone can enjoy at anytime of the day! Soft serve ice cream cannot be complete without a sugary, sweet and crunchy biscuit cone and Amasoy has spiced things up with including a churro as well!

I was keen to try the J-cone but it was out of stock. Oh dear! I guess I will have to re-visit Amasoy again soon!

At just $2.50, this is one of the best treats you buy for yourself and your loved ones. It is very creamy and you can taste the subtle bitterness of the green tea, but it's still considerably sweet and kids will love this! Being that it is a soft-serve, it melts rather quickly, so enjoy it, but enjoy it before it melts away!

I really hope to see more Amasoy opening up in differents parts of Singapore!!

The Ama in Amasoy apparently has two meanings. If you understand Chinese, you had known it stands for grandma. If you understand Japanese, it also stands for sweet. This results in the cute mascot used by Amasoy in the form of a grandma.Anyway Amasoy’s soy beancurds are supposed to be organic and after seeing an advertorial by a famous blogger, I decided to buy one of their beancurd puddings to try out for myself. When I opened the lid, the smell of mango immediately hits and I held high expectations. The beancurd was not too sweet, quite mild-tasting, so it’s good for those who dislikes the sweet beancurd puddings from Lao Ban etc. However the mango bits are not too fresh, and I didn’t really enjoyed eating it with the beancurd and ended up eating them separately. The pudding Is soft and silky, a nice treat for the young and old alike. Though it is a bit pricey at $2.50, I guess it’s cause of its collagen properties.

Having tried the puddings from Amasoy, I wanted to try their Hokkaido Milk drinks as well. In particular, the Matcha flavoured one attracted my attention. I asked the staff recommendations for the topping and he said that Matcha milk drinks are best paired with azuki beans/red bean jelly. I don't really like azuki beans and so I opted for a safe option, the Hokkaido milk jelly. I chose a 50% sugar level. Overall, the milk tasted pretty smooth and I love the milk jellies! I felt that it would be better if the matcha taste is stronger. Perhaps I should try a lower sugar level next time, or choose the Matcha jelly topping.

Walking along the long food kiosk at ION orchard B4. Looking for a cup of drink, not too sweet, not too mainstream like coke. Wanted something more refreshing, not that sweet. In my mind, I'm like there are 2 staffs and why both of them are doing at the back and no one tending the storefront?

I ordered the drinks and wanted to know more about the drinks but the staff couldn't give me a definite answer. I took my drinks and went off, it cost almost $3 for a huge cup of drink. Pretty milky and it's taste a little like milk powder. Not that bad though, for foodies who dislike milk powder or milky stuff, this ain't for you.

I am exploring aimlessly at the Orchard ION Food Hall, when I spot this outlet. It is selling Singapore First Japanese Style Beancurd Dessert and Hokkaido Milk Drinks. I think of trying it out, so buy a Salted Caramel Pudding which is the flavour of the month. It costs $2 for a bowl. It tastes like the new trend of bean curd which is very smooth. But the salted caramel flavour is not strong.

Amasoy is conveniently nestled among all the other over-the-counter eateries at B4 of ION. This is the first time I tried Amasoy's beancurd and I had to get the original flavour. Having tried other brands selling pudding-like tau huey, I guess I can't really tell the difference between the brands with my eyes closed. It comes in a small plastic bowl at $1.80 each. The texture of the tau huey was smooth and silky. Something for Amasoy to take note of if you happen to be reading this: Please impro

Something for Amasoy to take note of if you happen to be reading this: Please improve on the hygiene level when preparing the beancurd. Found a strand of pubic-like hair in the tau huey.
