For me, I ordered a personal Pineapple Fried Rice with Floss. It was only for $6 but it was big enough to feed 2 not so hungry pax. For sharing, my friend ordered the Garoupa fish, Pad Thai, Chicken, Mango Salad, and other rice dishes.

Hmm. My dish was well cooked. The rice was very fragrant and tasty, you could eat it without any main dishes. I also tried the fish and it was quite tender without a lot of bones. I also tried the Chicken and there was a bit of spice—just enough to add a kick to this otherwise average dish.

Overall, good food and excellent service. The staff was so attentive with what we needed. I think it's because my friend is a regular customer there. HAHA!

everything is good except the coconut pork. The fish is too salty and the coconut is way too heavy and thick in this dish. Will be better if the coconut sauce can be a little diluted.

The last dish is my favorite one - Tom Yum Goong soup (SGD 8 for medium size). Wow very strong taste of spice and very rich in ingredients! I was very impressed by it. The soup was a bit oily though, taste it once in a while is not bad!

Thai people are very patriotic. Thai Royal family Portrait are proudly displayed in most eateries, restaurants and shops in Thailand. Recently, I have noticed that most Thai restaurants in Singapore are displaying the Royal Family Portrait too.

If you are there during lunch, they have the Set Lunch Menu (rice/noodle) that includes a main course and a drink (Lime/Guava/Mango/Freshly Brew Lemon Grass/Roselle Flower) for just $5.50.

The Tom Yum (Tom Yam) Chicken was delicious! It was not oil and did not look spicy (not fiery red or orangey in colour). But well, appearances are deceiving... it was very spicy. Still it was so addictive that I finish everything! In addition, they were generous with the ingredients (button mushrooms, chicken chunks and tomato). The chicken chunks were tender and soft! A must order! Shiok!

Aroy Dee Thai Cafe although is not very accessible; not near any MRT stations. The nearest MRT stations are Bugis and Dhoby Ghaut stations. Despite this, Aroy Dee Thai Cafe is very popular. The place is frequently packed. Well, the reason is because the food is great!

If it is too crowded, no worries, there is Victor's Kitchen (great dim sum place) nearby!

so we order something which they recommended - their new tom yum steamboat for 2.

the steamboat consist of the usual veggies, tang-hoon, pork meat and seafood. portion was decent enough for 2 medium eaters, but as a big eaters, we decided to order a side dish which we never try before but many diners seems to fancy - hum (cockle)! their cockles are boiled together with some lemon grass which enhance the smell and flavoring. now i know why many diners likes to order this side dish

Ordered my favourite Thai food - Stir fried Basil Leaf chicken with rice at Aroy Thai. It tastes heavenly and it is one of the best i have eaten. The taste is just rice, not too salty or spicy and it goes well with the Thai white rice. The price is very reasonable only SGD5 plus i ordered a Thai Iced tea. my total meal only cost me around SGD 8. I certainly enjoyed my Saturday dinner,

We ordered quite a lot of stuff like the sambal kang kong, pineapple fried rice, phat thai, fried minced beef, green curry. The pineapple fried rice was normal, but i love the phat thai. The portion was generous too.

Although it was packed with people, we did not have to wait too long for our food which is a good thing. The green curry is really awesome, there were chunks of chicken inside which makes it so yummy.

But i feel that their sambal kang kong and minced beef is too spicy for me!! if it was less spicy, that would be better. Would definitely come back here for more good food !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you want to patronize this thai café, do try to arrive early (before 6.30) as there’s always a really long que outside. And, they do not accept reservations. On the bright side, food is served very quickly here, so the tables normally get cleared up fast as the customer turnover rate is pretty quick. My favourite dish here is the calamari rings – FANTASTIC. They are seriously to die for. So you HAVE to order them even if you’re on the diet because boy you’re missing out a lot if you don’t. Fo

For their other dishes, the fried fish was not too bad as well, though do not order the green curry, it was rather watery. The pineapple rice was rather small in size but about the same standards in terms of taste as Thai Express.

I've been there twice and had their Pad Thai both times and enjoyed it immensely. I had chicken the first, and beef the second time. Both at the same price. There is another option of having seafood as well. Each plate will cost you about $5. I can be quite a stingy person and prefer to spend around $2-3 for a meal, but I have absolutely no problem spending $5 at Aroy Dee Thai. For $5 you get a huge plate of Pad Thai with generous amounts of beansprouts and meat. Aside from the portion, the taste is excellent.

The sour of the lime goes so well with the sweetness of the noodles producing a great balance of flavours for your tastebuds to soak in. The texture also varies from the crunch of the grounded peanuts, the softness of the noodles, and back to a fresh crunch of beansprouts.

I always enjoy my time there. Service is fine- you might have to wait a little, but for good food like this, I really don't mind the wait.

I definitely recommend this place for Thai Cuisine fans!

The Phad Thai (Pork) is one of my personal favourite.. I love it with the combination of the grounded peanuts and fresh bean sprouts. The overall sensation in the mouth is oh-so fabulous and leaves you craving for more!! Also to mention, the pork slices are very juicy and tender to the bite.

This is a small casual cafe good for lunch or dinner. They do not charge any service charge or GST but the service there can be a little slow at times.

Aroy Dee Thai Food is located at sunshine plaza which is not accessible if you do not have car. The nearest mrt station is bugis and about 10 mins walking distance. The restaurant is quite crowded and smelly. Foods are good at the reasonable price. The garlic fried pork with rice is too dry and the pork is too hard. Pineapple rice is delicious. Business is good but restaurant is too small and i saw a customer was asked to move to the other table when he was eating half way.

It had a fresh taste once you add the lemon lime, and the chicken tasted just nice - simple sweet-sauce for the chicken and although the egg was a bit dry, at least the fried rice was a bit mushy (bit too much water when cooking the rice?) and it balances well. The taste is just nice, and it's even better with that famous translucent thai chilli sauce. And of course, lemongrass to accompany! Nothing better to drink in this place!

Will share their other meals very soon - been visiting often with friends here!

From the thai chicken style with rice to green curry soup (there are about 5-6 options if I'm not wrong) and it includes a drink!
My personal favorite drink would be lemongrass. It's absolutely fresh and delicious! However the rest are also good too.

My friends and I would always opt to go here for good (also not oily and authentic) but friendly to our wallets if we have a long break in between classes.

Beware for on-the-dot eating hours because it's always packed! So try to come earlier or much later.

The small little restuarant sits humbly next to the entrance of the Sunshine Plaza... not much reno is done to the place but when you step in, you will see 3 big pictures of the Thai Royal family!

We ordered the most basic dishes like sambal kangkong, tomyam gung, fried egg and pineapple fried rice.. I personally love the fried egg! I wondered how they fried with the chicken nicely wrapped in the egg... Yums! The egg was crispy and hot when served to us..

The tomyam gung is too spicy for me but my friend says that this is the right taste for it! It isn't spicy when you first drink it, but when it slides down your throat, you will feel a burning sensation!

Price is reasonable as we only paid $20 over for these dishes... Seats are limited in the restaurant... so have to be there early to beat the crowd!

Overall, it was a delicious dinner!!!

The next time I think of Thai food, it will be Aroy-Dee @ Sunshine Plaza!!!
