Astons Express has quite a lot of branches around singapore in the heartlands which nice as it makes it easier for us consumers to enjoy western sets without having to go to restaurants. As prices are kept low, it is a self service concept, each table will have a buzzer and the buzzer will sound when the order is ready. As it is rather crowded, we have to wait for around 20minutes for our order to be ready.I ordered the prime sirloin set which costs $13.50 and chose broccoli and fries for my sides. The sirloin is good. The sirloin is not too over cooked so it is still tender and together with the black pepper sauce, it is really yummy. It is mostly lean meat as well with just a bit of fats. The serving of fries is quite generous and I shared some with my friend. The broccoli is a bit hard though, it will taste better if it is cooked for slightly longer.

Love Aston's cause you basically you choose your main and then you customize your meal by choosing two sides. The great thing is that there are so many sides to choose from!Steak, Onion Rings, and WedgesChicken, Mac & Cheese, House Veggies that are boiled and served with butter.The chicken was cooked well and the mac & cheese is perfect. They paired well with the onion rings and potato wedges as well.For less than $10, you can get a western meal with the sides that you prefer. The food is served hot as they hand you one of those sensors that vibrate after you pay and order. The food quality is worth the price that you pay for.

I was in the area for dance class!Decided to head for some dinner before that My friend and i must order the mac and cheese, cheese lover must have!I ordered the chargrilled chicken and my friend had the black pepper fish!Hers was quite small in my opinion, the fish slice is quite thin!My chicken was ok, love the grilled taste Best of all i love the side dishes, we both had the potato salad too!Very refreshing

I went to Singapore Post Office paya lebar to collect my ticket after work and decided to have a quick dinner there too. Astons Express has a kiosk at Kopitiam foodcourt and I decided to have western food for dinner.Food at Astons Express is decent and the food quality is slightly better than standard coffeeshop western fare. The price is quite reasonable too. Since, it is in Kopitiam food court, I am able to use my Kopitiam card to get further discount of 10% from the total bill. I ordered chargrill chicke with 2 side lines at $7.90. So after the 10% discount , the total amount is S$7.10. I placed an order with the counter and provide us the food coaster pager which we will wait for it to beeps. Once it beeps, the foods are ready to collect.The waiting time is less than 20 minutes and I think it’s quote worth it in terms of the value and portion. The quality is quite consistent. The chargrill was nicely grill and the chicken meat is soft and tender. The baked potato is my favourite and garden veggies are served in good condition.

Waiting time for this stall might take a while, especially during the weekdays lunch hour. I had to wait a full 20 minutes before the buzzer sounded, indicating that my char-grilled chicken is ready for collection. I had the potato salad, a personal favorite of mine at this stall, and house salad as the side dish. They usually give a large serving of potato salad, a sure filling lunch for that matter. The salad on the other hand is a disappointment. There is nothing nice or fantastic, and I think the other side dishes are more value-for-money!
