Aston is my regular western restaurant if I want to have western cuisine but don't want to splurge too much. It always has a long queue but you may get seat real fast.They offer good range of main course from beef, fish, chicken, spaghetti, lamb. The main course except spaghetti come with two side dishes which separately hot and cold.I had tried their grilled dory fish with herb set with two side dishes. It was my favorite among all in the menu. The sauce is just well matched with the fish.The another set I tried was teriyaki grilled chicken chop which was also good in taste. The fish and the beef was nice. It would be perfect if the side dish (mac & cheese, french fries) were hot. They are served room temperature. coffee was luke warm. Visited Astons recently because I was craving for some delicious grilled chicken yet I was on a tight budget. It was also a cold rainy night in town so I figured this should be the place. There was a queue of roughly 8 customers but I stood in line for less than 10 minutes. To improve efficiency, the staff gave us the menu to order in advance while queuing. When we were seated, the food came immediately right after. The Lemon Lime Chicken ($8.90) was perfect for me as it came along with some good onion rings and smoking hot baked potato. My buddy got his Double Up Chicken ($13.50) whereby he selected the Hickory & Teriyaki chicken to pair with his potato salad and onion rings. For the price, it's considered really worth it when 2 huge piece of chicken thighs were served. I always love the grilled chicken at Astons because they are always grilled to perfection with some great sauce, all of their sauces are amazing! We also ordered Chicken Nuggets - 8pc ($3.90) to share and although it tasted pretty average, we were glad to have them cheaply. Since it was really cold in the mall, we got ourselves the Hot Chocolate ($3.50). Love the rich chocolate and milk taste but would also love the option of additional marshmallows in the future! Astons is one of my favourite places to go if i am craving for decent Western fare.My friends and I headed to Astons for dinner and arrived at the Bugis Plus outlet. There was a long queue outside but the waiter spared no time in taking our orders first and this ensured that our food arrived quickly after we were seated in the restaurant.I had the Hickory BBQ chicken with mac and cheese and potato wedges. The chicken chop is cooked just nice. Tender and not too hard. The sauce goes well with the chicken and give it a sweet flavour. I have always appreciated the fact that whenever i crave for western food, and don't want to spend too much money, i can just locate an outlet of Aston's! They have outlets all over Singapore, and the best part is, i can have a super filling meal, without busting a hole in my pocket!!Usually when i go to Aston's, i go for the chicken because they're super succulent and because there are so many varieties! Available in many malls, Astons offers meal combos that are not only affordable, but also value for money. My roomie and I head over to bugis+ astons and it was really crowded not only during lunch but also during dinner hours! Suggested to go Astons today at Bugis+ and my bf had the cravings too.I decided to order the Prime Sirloin.The Prime Sirloin costs $14.90, with 2 sides.I chose the onion rings, which I love, and their House salad!The steak came in medium - the last time I ordered, it was medium rare, and there were too much blood for me, and my mum kept nagging that I should eat it cooked!Before I went, my mum reminded me to get the beef cooked well. I always like dining at Astons because of their food, ambience and reasonable prices! There are various Astons Specialties, Prime and Express outlets all over Singapore. Their mains come with your choice of 2 cold/hot side dishes. My all-time favourite side dishes are the potato salad, pasta salad or the baked potato! Astons Express outlets are found in coffee shops all around Singapore and their prices are slightly cheaper than Astons Specialities, which are located in shopping malls.There used to be an express outlet at the food court near my house but it closed down recently, was pretty disappointed as the next nearest Astons Express is about 15-20 minutes :/ Anyway, except for their steak, the other mains like chicken, fish, burgers and spaghetti are all less than $10! In my opinion, there is nothing special and I may not come back again for the same dish.
