Introduction
Previously known as Baker’s Inn, Bakerzin started out in 1998 as a modest patisserie located off Sembawang Road, Singapore, dealing with wholesale orders and supplying French bread and pastries to restaurants and hotels. During this time, founder of Bakerzin, Daniel Tay, and his team of passionate bakers began experimenting and conjuring new and indulgent creations. As word spread, Bakerzin steadily gained a reputation in the industry as not just an authentic French bakery but one with an excellent selection of scrumptious sweets on its order list.

Signature Dishes
Set meal offered by Bakerzin costs $17.90 per set, which consists of drink, salad and main course. If you order the set, you could then order the dessert at a cheaper price, $8 (usual price $12++). Hubby and I each get a glass of iced lemon tea. I like the way they serve the sugar syrup separately as I don't like it sweet. Garden salad is quite appetizing, the sourness of vinaigrette on fresh greens is just right. Waldorf salad a mixture of lots of apples, and walnuts then dressed in mayonnaise, it's refreshing too. For the main, Pork belly rice is recommended. The pork belly is stewed in a rich soy and sweet sauce for long until the meat turned tender and soft. The flavour is rich and tasty too. Carbonara on the other hand is ordinary. The sauce is creamy yet lacking of some distinct flavour. Perhaps the bacon slices were not pan-fried enough to release the intense aroma. We ordered two desserts. Coupe Cheese cake Verrine doesn't really have strong cheese flavour. But the mini macaroon really give some bonus points to the delicate cold dessert. Coupe Blackforest Verrine on the other hand not my favourite. Perhaps the berries were soaked in alcohol for long, causing the slight bitterness of the overall taste of this dessert.

The cake itself ($5) look so elegant and sweet so i decided to buy one home as dessert. The cream is not too greasy, i still can accept it, and the cake base is soft and fine, together with the strawberry sourish taste and the fruits inside, i love this cake! though it may looked like just an ordinary cake but sometimes simple is the best. My friend ordered the strawberry cheesecake which is not bad too. I sure will patronize bakerzin for their cake again.

My lovely dessert time again...Went to shopping at suntec city. Felt craving for chocolate cake and want to have a nice place to continue chit chat with friends. So, we decided to visit Bakerzin.I had ordered the chocolate layer cake. The chocolate tasted a little bit too bitter for me. And the overall taste was quite disappoiting. I dislike the texture and mouthfeel of the cake which was too moist and too soft.

For more reviews, please check out http://thehungrybunnie.blogspot.com/2011/06/bakerzin-suntec-city-mall.htmlThey were probably the first people to make macarons popular in Singapore, and rightly so. Their French creations are light-as-air, fluffy, with the creamiest of fillings and always uniquely flavoured. We got a Box of 6 Macarons ($9.65) to takeaway. I love all of their flavours except the orange one, it's too saccharine. Favourite flavours are the yuzu (yellow), rose (light pink), blueberry (purple), raspberry (deep pink) and coconut (green with white filling).

Me and my eating partner recently visited Bakerzin to redeem our Crayfish pasta groupon. For $12.90, we were promised a great crayfish pasta dish with "fresh, succulent" pieces of crayfish. Unfortunately, the dish was a disappointment. I found the tomato based sauce wasn't too bad with nice chucks bits of tomato mixed in the spaghetti and the portion was decent. However, the crayfish pieces, which were supposed to be the main highlight of the dish was a big let down. The crayfish flesh were really really small and they stuck onto their big shells. It seemed like the crayfish were not as fresh as described in the groupon deal, but then again, I guess you shouldn't expect so much from such deals. The service provided was also less than desirable. It was very hard to get the attention of the waiters who weren't very attentive at all during my visit.
