Introduction
Previously known as Baker’s Inn, Bakerzin started out in 1998 as a modest patisserie located off Sembawang Road, Singapore, dealing with wholesale orders and supplying French bread and pastries to restaurants and hotels. During this time, founder of Bakerzin, Daniel Tay, and his team of passionate bakers began experimenting and conjuring new and indulgent creations. As word spread, Bakerzin steadily gained a reputation in the industry as not just an authentic French bakery but one with an excellent selection of scrumptious sweets on its order list. continue reading

Carbonara - $15.50 Its awesome bacon carbonara, thickened with egg and cheese, topped off with some garnishing, has a great taste of the creamy and cheesy sauce. The sauce is well-balanced such that one do not feels sick of eating the dish after some time. However, it's abit plain as it there were not much ingredients in it. Chocolate Amer - $6.90A perfect desert to end the dinner, I tried their Chocolate Amer, which has many layers of chocolate and mousse. It tastes very sweet, and has too much chocolate such that one gets too sick of the desert. I love this outlet at Paragon as it's located at one small corner of the shopping centre and it's not known to many. As such, there are only a few patrons at the cafe, and it has a nice and quiet ambience for dinner. continue reading

A special birthday cake from several close friends, they bought me a Mille Feuille. It would be the best I had so far. Bakerzin was now offered more varieties in their specialty selections with the price were reasonable too.Layers of puff pastry and custard cream, it topped with Icing Sugar, Berries and Macarons. Both of these ingredients appeared to bind a firmer and smoother cake. I like its dense in such good way. The spongy cheese added a little tang that balanced up perfectly with the gooey outlay, I would describe it as a cross between a custard and crustless butter cake. Thanks for your wishes, I enjoyed the night and the cake. continue reading

I was really fortunate to have won the mooncake competition by OpenRice and my reward was none other than mooncakes! Specifically, 4 of Bakerzin's mooncake.I must say that Bakerzin has really put a lot of thought into designing their packaging for the mooncakes. It looks really stylish and classy. After consumption, one can use the box for other purposes too! The mooncake imprints of rabits and the way it is shaped (round and oval) allows one to easily differentiate which is the one with or without egg yolk.Futhermore, all of it's mooncakes are vacuum-sealed which lengthens it's freshness as mooncakes are on the heaty (and high calorie, with all the sweetness) and therefore would take quite a period of time to finish. Nevertheless, it was really enjoyable having Bakerzin's mooncake.Thank you OpenRice! continue reading

Really thankful for my good friend to have bought a 18 cm long whole cheese cake to our monthly friend's gathering at my house. At $45 per whole cake, it can be shared among eight to ten adults. Really enjoy the thick fragrant cream cheese used it this dessert which is really smooth in texture and make me want to crave for more. The cake base is filled with very crunchy cookie crumbs that really blend in well with the yummy cream cheese cake. The added crushed cookies topped on the cake added that extra crunchiness to this cake as well. Yummy! continue reading

We were running some errands around town and decided to pop by Bakerzin for lunch and some dessert. Chick Pea Soup ($6.90++)An uncommon offering spotted in local menus, this soup not only looked appetizing but tasted great too! The rich and creamy texture will definitely make you crave for more. Barramundi Fish ($17.90++)The fish was fresh and blended well with the aromatic cream sauce that exuded a hint of buttery fragrance. Nicely presented and suited our palate. Warm Chocolate Cake ($11.50++)Bakerzin’s signature molten chocolate cake served with vanilla ice cream and fresh berries. The cake was moist and chewy but somehow lacked the “oomph” factor. Nevertheless, it was still a yummy treat! Overall, Bakerzin’s regularly updated menu offers an array of delectable mains and desserts that not only look pretty, but tickle the palate with its delicious taste too! continue reading
