We wanted to try out a variety of food, so we ordered a total of 5 dishes for our dinner. The Thai mango salad is very refreshing, love the slightly sour mango strips paired with the crispy dried shrimps drizzle with sweet sauce with a bit of chopped red chili. Their combination platter includes rice crackers, Thai fish cake, spring rolls, satay with peanut sauce. I love their fish cake & satay particularly. Very flavourful & chewy fish cake while the chicken satay is soft & tender. The peanut sauce given is pretty generous! We love the crispy Tahu telok drizzled with the sweet peanut sauce. Simple addictive! Tom yum soup is my all time favourite. Love the fresh seafood (prawns, sotong, mussel) in the soup. A little spicy & sour soup which opens up your appetite & lets you craves for more! Eggplant with minced meat & basil is another awesome dish that you must try. Very flavourful dish, every bite is infused with the basil taste. The staffs are very attentive to our needs & prompt in their services. Thumbs up. Will definitely come back to Nex to try out other dishes in future.Read More

It was a Friday evening when I dined at the Bali Thai restuarant with two of my friends. We did not have to wait before we were ushered to and given a table.Ordering of food was fuss-free and the waiter was able to provide us with good recommendations and answered our queries promptly. The serving of the food was just nice for three of us to share. I especially liked the tom yum soup which did not taste too sour or spicy. Good mix of Thai and Indonesian cuisine with great variety of food choices. Loved the satay madura as well, tender and yummy chicken. Would love to have more the next time I visit Bali Thai. ;)Thank you, Bali Thai, for the awesome dining experience. :)Read More

Return for more Thai food @ Bali Thai. I have tried many Thai restaurant and Bali Thai is definitely one of my favourite ones so far. I have been to their outlet @ Suntec and very impressed with their food. so there i am again, this time round ~ Nex.We ordered their set meal of 58 dollars for 2 pax which i feel is quite value for money. However, my stomach actually craves for some glass noodles ( tang hoon) so the total bill adds up to about 90++ inclusive of GST and service charge. The set meal comes with Tom Yam soup, green curry, fried vege, thai fish cake, desert and also sweet and spicy fish.green curry. not too spicy and too thick for me. the sauce goes very well with rice. chicken meat is very tender and well cookedsweet and spicy fish. Overall the chili sauce is ok for me except i find the fish is too oil after deep fried.fried vege. nothing special but just add some greens to your dinner lol.thai fish cake. their signature. =) love thistom yam soup. i still prefer those not clear type. generous with ingredients. very light taste but slightly spicy for mestirred fried glass noodles ( tang hoon) . not in the set meal but we order it seperately. the noodles is so good that u will ask for more.desert. Mango pudding.somehow i feel the pudding is those off-the shelve type lol.overallFood : ***Price : ***Customer service : **Will i come again? Yes!Read More

Me and hubby are craving for thai food and so we decide to ease our cravings at BaliThai.Hubby had Thai iced Coffee ($3.50), the coffee is smooth and fragrant.I ordered the Sparkling Dracula ($3.80), the name caught my attention and so I decide to order one to try. Nice sparkling drink with a little rose syrup taste. Great drink.Tom Yum Pot ($12.50), this is big enough for 2-3 people to share, a little spicy and sour. Great taste with fresh ingredients such as grass mushrooms and seafood.Seafood Phat Thai ($10.80), I quite like the phat thai here, its a little wet and the sauce is sweet, the noodle is well fried, great taste.Pineapple rice with fish fillet ($11.80), the pineapple rice is fragrant and the fish fillet is well marinated and crispy.Thai prawn cake ($7.00), this is nice, both hubby and me like this, the prawn filling is crunchy and the outer skin is crispy. Great.Read More

I had a very bad experience at BaliThai. I think they need to train their staff a lot more...Before reviewing the service: We ordered clear tom yam soup to share, while I had the chicken with basil (chicken bits were miserable), and my boyf had the grilled chicken with sticky rice; for dessert (not pictured) we ordered the sticky mango rice. These dishes were pretty average (except for the dessert which was abysmal), but I think Thai Express is way better. When I ordered the tom yam soup, it took the staff more than 5 minutes to run around like headless chickens asking each other what is clear tom yam soup. Are you kidding me?When it was time to order dessert, the girl told us THREE times that the "mango for the mango sticky rice was really, really sour", even asking us "Are you sure?" at one point. I was like, sour mangoes are okay, I've had that comment thrown at me before too, but it's cos they assume most people would want their mango super duper sweet. But umm, when the dessert arrived, the mangoes were green. Hello? That's not "just sour", that's called UNRIPE and GREEN. She could have been a little more specific. Jeez. Wasted my money, wasted my time, wasted the space in my stomach. Never again.Read More

Having been to the branch at Suntec, we decided to give this branch a try as well. The food was delicious, as always, but the ambience was not as cozy as the one at Suntec. However, the service was equally good over here. While awaiting our food, the usual appetiser arrived - crackers. The crunchy crackers, with their sourish taste, were really addictive. We tried the Seafood Fried Rice, Chicken with Cashew Nuts, Mixed Vegetables and Tahu Telor. The rice was absolutely flavourful and the chicken was equally enticing. The cashew nuts added the extra zet to the dish. The mixed vegetables were good, and cooked just right. The Tahu Telor was addictive, it's always something I can never get enough of.The restaurant truly lives up to its Fusion cuisine...and I will be back for more, despite the steep prices. This restaurant serves both Indonesia and Thai food. We had the combination platter for starter. It consists of chicken satay, fish cakes, spring rolls and rice crackers with dips. The chicken satay was tender and goes well with the peanut sauce. The fish cake was not spicy and not great. The spring roll were average. For the main we had grilled squids(Cumi Baker). I expected the squids to taste more of the sweet soya sauce. To me it was a disappointment as I tasted better Grilled squid elsewhere. We ended the meal with a Thai rice dish, Pineapple Rice. It is served in a pineapple as a bowl. The yellow rice has cubes of pineapple and prawn. It is not very tasty.Overall the food is not great; I had better Thai and Indonesian food.Read More

This is one fantastic dish that Bali Thai offers. The fish is made into a very beautiful, brown. In fact,it looks like it has been glazed with honey. It looked so shiny! And let me assure you, it didn't only look good from the outside,it tasted heavenly as well.It was cooked well and the fish was very soft. Best eaten with the chilli they provide,in my opinion!Read More

Just like Siam Kitchen, BaliThai also serves the keropok crackers with chili dip as starter before the food arrives.I had the sweet and sour chicken with white rice that also came with a sunny side-up.The dish was good. Delicious because the serving was generous and the sweet and sour sauce made everything better. The white rice grains were crunchy too. Pity the sunny side-up seemed to be a little over fried, the egg yolk wasn't 'runny' anymore.Read More

A very unique name indeed, I thought. I had always seen this restaurant, but never ventured in.The gracious waitresses explained that they served both Indonesian and Thai food, but more of the latter.I was keen to try my favourite- Tahu Telur - tofu, eggs and gula melaka sauce. The dish was cooked to perfection - crisp and absolutely mouth-watering.Next, we tried the Satay Madura as an appetizer. Wow, the portion of meat was huge, it was almost like a main dish. The meat had been grilled tandoori style, and this gave it a North Indian touch. The condiments included cucumber, onion, pineapple and baby tomato. We ordered white rice with Chicken and Baby Kai Lan.The chicken was Diced Chicken with Dry Chilli and Cashew Nuts. The chicken was boneless, tender and tasted really different with the honey sauce and cashew nuts. The Kai Lan was equally good. The food portions were generous and we took a while to finish it all, but we savoured every bite. With the great decor and wonderful service, I will definitely go back for more!Read More
