It was a Saturday morning when I was on the way with my friend to sea aquarium so we decided to have our breakfast at Vivo city first. So we decided to try Bao Today in food republic. The dishes we ordered are chee chiong fun, liu sha bao, porridge and bbq bun. The porridge was served hot and they are very generous with their ingredient. The chee chiong fun was one of the best there as it was soft and the sauce goes well with the chee chiong fun. However, it was not recommended to order the bun. I suspect the bun was left overnight and the texture was so hard to bite on. We spend less than 10 dollars per person for our breakfast which i think is fairly reasonable. continue reading

A friend of mine is always keen on chinese desserts and sweets, so these baos couldn't escaped him when he spotted them at this stall. He ordered 2 different kind, one was the black sesame paste and the other was custard with salted egg for us to try too.The latter one was better in taste and smoother in texture and slightly runny and where else the formal was drier and actually the taste was not bad also.Worth the try, each around $1.50 continue reading

Located at the entrance of food republic ;DIt was my first time trying and I bought one chicken and pork bao.(:The display buns looks appetizing for all that I felt like trying their big bao too.Initially I wanted to buy their siew mai but it was too expensive so I gave up on that. This chicken and pork bao cost $1.50, which I think was pretty reasonable. It was nice and hot The meat in it was juicy and flavourful , so I quite like it (:Next time I will try their big bao and the sesame bao, which I think is special ;D continue reading
