When I first saw the exterior, my impression of dipped a little as I was expecting something a little more hipster since it was highly recommended by a fellow coffee lover/athlete! However, if I never try, I will never know, right?
Beans and Cream reminds me of Creamier in terms of presentation. However, the latter still has the upper hand. Waffles here lack in buttery fragrance and can be a little more fluffy, nonetheless, it was above average.
Their ice cream were awesome. Thick, rich and generous portion! Had the Thai Ice Tea and Salted Caramel flavours where both scored 8/10 for me.
Coffee was surprisingly tasty too. With past experiences of diluted ice latte, thus I didn't esteem this cuppa at Beans and Cream, initially. Once again, never judge a book by it's cover. This humble ice cuppa had great aroma and chocolate/bitter coffee flavour at great price too!
Great recommendation and finding! This was an icing on the cake as my athletes did well for their competition too! Made my trip to Gombak extra worthwhile!

Recently opened a few months back, Beans & Cream bears a pretty much unique address in the west of Singapore. Located in the quiet neighbourhood of Bukit Gombak, it definitely does not come across as an address that would come up to mind for a cafe. Much like the neighbourhood itself, the interior is simple without much elaborate decorations. Seatings are very much limited here, with only three four-seaters inside and two more four-seaters on the outside.Since it is a place that sells ice-cream

Since it is a place that sells ice-cream and waffles primarily, we had to give the two a try. We coupled Earl Grey and topped up for an additional Rum & Raisin scoop for our waffles ($9.80). The waffles strangely resembled the ones served at Creamier with a variance in their presentation. The Earl Grey was rather aromatic and uplifting, with the fragrance of tea distinct and soothing. Rum & Raisin was deep with the alcoholic touch; a indulging flavour for those who love this flavour. Waffles were decent, and we loved the crispy exterior which was in perfect match with the airy and fluffy interior. The batter was something we thought they could have did better; it was tasty, but it would fared much better if it carried much more fragrance in it.

Not missing out the “Bean” in the name, I also ordered a Flat White ($4.00); something which was out of the menu but the staff gladly made when I enquired. Although much of this cafe’s focus is not really on the coffee, its pretty aromatic with earthy notes detected, and was also pretty creamy.

With an increase in hype after Bryan Gan 老师 from Lady First Singapore (女人我最大新加坡), Bryan Gan, has requested and designed a custom ice cream flavor that is healthy and consisting of only real fruits, it is not hard to see why this place is still packed indoors with a long queue outside before closing hours.

Besides offering complimentary iced water, they also offer iced gem biscuits here!

The Waffles with Salted Caramel ($6.50) comes in a nice serving! Hearing that they have great waffles before coming, I have to agree that this is one of the better waffles I have had so far. Crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and the Salted Caramel ice-cream (which is one of their newest flavors) tasted just right as well

If you are around the Bukit Gombak area, why not make a visit here? The ice cream and waffles here are certainly worth queuing for!

"The Simple Cravings in life", well said from their business tagline. It did really match how I felt after craving for days since I last went there on Monday and they were closed. The shop was relatively new in the area and only accept cash or EZ Link payment. For patrons who are looking for ATM, the nearest will be at Bukit Gombak MRT Station. The shop was compact and space was rather limited. Manned by a humble couple, their service were generous. All Flavours from Beans&Creams were home-made.

All Flavours from Beans&Creams were home-made. Be most welcome to request for any Ice Cream Flavour try out before purchasing them.

The couple were polite with service above average. Price of the Ice Cream were clearing indicated in the price list plastered on the wall.

Besides helping ourselves with the free flow of ice water by the side of the counters, these flower biscuits are complimentary for the dine in customers but it is limited to 1 scoop per dine in customer, remember

A moment of insanity, we had kept their waffles machine from going hot with 4 plates of waffles. Ice Cream to me is just insatiable especially when it comes to pairing with these waffles.

Waffles with Ice Cream costs $6.50 but with premium Ice Cream ordered, an additional of 80cents is required. Vanilla is one of the premium flavours, their ice cream was creamy with visible Vanilla Bean Specks which consists a pleasant faint vanilla scent.

The presentation looks yummy with the scoop of vanilla ice cream topped the stacking waffles with chocolate and maple syrup over the plate. They were sweet but not cloying. The drizzle of flour powder over the waffle was used sparingly giving a perfect final touch to the savoury dessert.

Scattered among the classic flavors, Rum and Rasins were more towards the unique tastes with alcohol filled. It looks pretty divine with its rum soaked raisins diffused through the creamy, smooth ice cream but still a little sweet for me. Well, I guess the local ice cream chains has a challenger here.

Bitter sweet tasting ice-cream, dark chocolate, it is! As creamy as it was taken, are you shaken by these two yummy-licious scoops of sweet flavours? For the sweet tooth, Cookies and Creams is a good bet. Enjoy the roughness over the smooth creamy white cream from the crushed cookies.

While waffles do taste delicious plain, these sweet nibbles were perfect with Pistachio and Earl Grey. Its thickened size was cripsy and soft at the same time. Yums! Pistachio and Earl Grey fans, this cant be missed. Each mouthful of pistachio was burst full of nutty flavour, driving me nuts. While the Earl Grey was light, infused with sweet scent nature from the tea.

I'm please after trying out a number of their flavours, satisfying my crave. Overall, I find that their ice cream were decent but not to die for. But frankly speaking, I love their instant production of waffles. they were outstanding.
