Chwee Kueh for Breakfast at 4 for S$1.00. Steamed to softness perfection, these four chwee kuehs are simply too soft to pierce my fork into them and place them into my mouth. It was such soft that a gentle pierce using my fork will break the chwee kueh apart. Aplenty of "cai po" is given and I have requested for a little bit of chilli. Chilli was rather oily but filled of dried shrimps smell and not as spicy as I thought. Overall, this dish serves a good decent breakfast and for healthier choice, you may skip the chilli portion as its too oily. continue reading

Came here to take away 4 chwee kuehs to eat in the office for breakfast. The chwee kueh were steamed till quite soft. The generous amount of chai poh added. I asked for no chilli as the chilli is too oily. The fragrance and saltiness of chai poh matched the chwee kueh well. This is a cheap and good option for breakfast as only $1 for 4 pieces. The overall taste is nice. continue reading

The FoodI ordered 4 pieces of Chwee Kueh and the steamed rice cake were soft and melts in my mouth when i start to chew hence quite nice. The Chai Poh very fragrant and not so oily & the chilli was quite nice too, not overly spicy. The ServiceChwee Kueh is served very fast hence no need to wait for so long since the rice cake and the Chai Poh already cooked before hand alreadyThe AmbienceAlthough the stall is in a hawker center, i find that the place was well-ventilated and not stuffy hence still acceptableThe PriceReasonably priced at 4 pieces for $1, 6 pieces for $1.50 and 8 pieces for $2OverallI will definitely come back again and highly recommended to try this! continue reading

I happened to sit in front of this stall, the crowd that comes to this stall and buy their chwee kueh is simply a lot, non stop. Their chwee kueh is reasonably priced, one dollar for four pieces. The chwee kueh texture is really good, very chewy but when you use your fork to cut into it, it immediately slice open. The chai poh is not too salty as well. however I think the chai poh is a little oily some parts were soaking in oil but it was really nice, very tasty. continue reading

This chee kway here are daily made by the stall owner to ensure the freshness is there. Every piece of it, you can really feel the smooth and moist texture of it. The preserved chai pok is stir fried till very fragrant and are topped on every piece of it. It is not too oily and you can feel the crunchiness of it when you eat it with the chee kway. The chilli sauce here is not too spicy and with a bit of sweetness in it. Affordable and delicious are best to describe the chee kway here. continue reading
