Introduction
Bee Cheng Hiang's bakkwa boasts the highest quality of meat hand weaved using a traditional bamboo sieve. It is smothered slowly for hours over live coals in our secret recipe. The smoking process seals in a flow of sweet and savoury marinate that infuses delectable moisture into every piece of meat. The bakkwa is then barbecued over a glowing fire until it spatters and caramelize the tender meat in the all right place. Hot grill combined with dripping meat juice releases a sweet barbecue aroma to the already succulent meat meld together to deliver the authentic Bee Cheng Hiang Bakkwa. continue reading

Creation of delight that extends to all generations, Bee Cheng Hiang was a famous Barbecued meat business locally. The three words represented “Mei” Appearance, “Zhen” Flavour, and “Xiang” Aroma, consistently delivered premium quality to leave an everlasting impression for customers. The first stall opened in Singapore was actually the Rochor Road Branch, a time where Bak Kwa was considered a luxurious indulgence. By now, they have plenty shops islandwide. I went their outlet at Toa Payoh which was a simple small and humble stall, products were neatly arranged with price indicated properly. The precious recipe remained the same over 80 years, their Bak Kwa was grilled freshly every day. Vacuum pack was available for attractive and convenient sake, I bought the adorable collection. Rich hint sweet and smoky piece, tender meat was juicy succulent. Easy to carry around, it was ideal for quick snack in bite size or a great souvenir for friends and relatives who stay overseas. Price was $34.80, absolutely affordable and worth for my loved one. continue reading

Today our colleague bought bak kwa from bee cheng hiang for us to eat! How nice of him...Well i must say this is a must eat during Chinese Near Year! definitely one of my favourite new year goodies. However in my opinion , i think this bak kwa from bee cheng hiang is a bit too salty for me. As compared to "lam chee yuan", i would still prefer the latter. Well one think for sure is there won't be a very long queue at bee cheng hiang! So it would still be acceptable for someone like me who doesn't like to queue for long! continue reading

There are many Bee Cheng Hiang in different parts of Singapore but i seems to be a loyal supporter especially for this outlet as they seems to have many staffs therefore i always don't have to wait for long to be served even when the shop is crowded and they also seems to have many promotions as each time i goes there, some items is sure to be on promotions and especially on Chinese New Year almost every year i'm here to queue for their bak kua and i remembered this year i had quite a lot of saving as some items are on promotions during Chinese New Year,Again today i'm here to buy their promotion items which is the crispy pork floss.Normal price per bottle is $10.50 and now it is $8.90 for one or $15.90 for 2 bottles and i spread it on toasted bread,so yummy. continue reading
