Residing at Chong Pang Market, Bee Kee was the stall my friend visited always. One of the local Teochew delicacies, Fried Carrot Cake was actually famous here. Everything nicely in the plate from preserved radish, egg, shrimp and rice cake cubes, while sprinkled of fresh chopped spring onion was drizzled on surface. Crispier texture due to prolonged frying time, it had yummy-looking crust covered the egg layer. Fragrance from a real excellent Fried Carrot Cake was addictive and enticing my taste buds, made me yearning for more. Instead of being huge chunks, the carrot cakes were cut into tiny pieces. Exterior was pan-fried to perfection at the same time inner layer was softly easy to munch, sweetness was derived from different dimension. The price was reasonably at $2.50, portion was rather generous. Best of all, the version was not overly greasy and worth the try.
