Sometimes you run out of choices on what to have for lunch. When you have idea on what to have, it is not available. That happens to me today. Actually wanted to have Niku Tama Don (Beef Don) but beef is not available today, and so is pork. So I choose Tempura Udon ($3.50) instead. As previously I have reviewed on their Dory Udon, the only difference now is just a change from Dory to Tempura (Prawn).Their so-called tempura isn't those that we have outside at Japanese restaurant which their outside is crispy. Here to me, it is just battered prawns from the looks of it. Don't you agree? Kind of disappointing. As usual, a piece of crabstick tempura can be found in the soup but a little hard. I kind of don't really like soggy stuff especially when the fried food is dipped into it. The crispiness is lost. But their udon is the saviour. Nice, smooth and springy and you can easily slurp up the udon. continue reading

I would recommend the chicken katsu curry ($4). The curry has all the taste and none of the spiciness, just the way that japanese curry should be. The chicken meat is tender, but slightly have a oil taste to it. Another that i would recommend would be the oyako don. The sauce is yummy, and goes well with rice and it is not that salty. Some of the food though, were disapponiting. Teriyaki chicken, or as they called "black chicken" among themselves, is really more of soya sauce chicken instead. I cant taste the sweetness of the teriyaki sauce at all. They introduced some korean food to the stall, but, i would say, it is not their forte. And they make it taste more towards jap food rather than the authentic korean food continue reading
