I initially came to Whampoa Market with the intention of eating the ban mian from a highly raved stall over here but it was close! I noticed a long queue at this Lu Mian stall and decided to give it a try. I was so glad I did as this is by far the best bowl of lor mee I've tasted!! I still can't believe that it only cost $2.50 per bowl as they gave a lot of ingredients! Every ingredient is so full of flavour and this is my favourite one, crispy nugget! I also love the thickness of the gravy which was perfectly soaked up by the yellow noodles. How I wish Whampoa market isn't so far from where I live! But I'm willing to travel for this!!

This stall serves one of the Best Lor Mee In Town! It is one of my favorite breakfasts at only $2.50! Although the operating hours stated is from 7am to 2pm. But the stall owner often drags till around 8am, sometimes even later! As a result, I would only eat this during weekend. The gravy is thick and tasted great with the garlic, chili paste and vinegar. The pieces of crispy yam dough which tasted delicious when it soaks up the gravy, there are also pieces of fried fish and braised pork.

It is always great to have some warm and comfort food like a bowl of Lor Mee for breakfast! This stall is one of the few stalls that still sells $2.50 for a bowl of Lor Mee. There is also $3 option whereby there is more ingredient. But i think $2.50 is suffient to fill ones stomache. The gravy is thick and flavourful after adding garlic and chili paste and lots of black vinger. Yum yum!!

Seems that this makan place has a lot best food here. When the dish's being served I can smell the fragrance of the braised gravy. The boss very generous with the ingredients, fried fish, fried fritters, braised pork belly. The gravy tasted sweet with a tinge of spices. Mixed it with the vinegar, chilli sauce, cut chilli and special spicy greenish garlic you get a fulfilled meal. The base price for the dish is $2.50 extra fish meat $3.00.However be there before noon to avoid disappointment.

I decided to try the lor mee from this stall. Apparently they called themselves the best lu mian in town. Starting off with the gravy, the gravy is pretty thick and very tasty. When you add vinegar into it, it was take even nicer as the vinegar adds some acidity to the dish. The bee hoon was pretty good, cooked perfectly, does not clump up together. They were very generous with their ingredients. There were fried ngoh hiang, fish cakes and wantons. The ngoh hiang was very tasty and juicy. The fried wanton gave the dish some crunchiness. As a whole it was really satisfying, one of the better lor mee I have eaten.
