A treat for my birthday from the family. We went up hill to mount faber black opal as we wanted something really classy and quiet. The ambiance is really awesome and since its a weekday evening the restaurant is not a 100% fill up rate. my main for the night is the shrimp spaghetti, which the pasta is tossed with this special shrimp oil and a handful of fresh shrimp on the top. The spaghetti is cooked to perfection and al dante to my liking. the shrimps are fresh and juicy too. service is good as the servers are very attention to your needs. continue reading

Highlight: the apple & scallop thingy starters were the tastiest dishes for the night.Egg salad was normal. Mushroom soup was mushroom-y with crispy garlic bread. It's a very creamy soup.Main dish cod fish was quite fresh and soft!!!!!!!!!!! The presentation of the food wasn't so nice though.Main dish salmon was too hard and ‘siap’ to chew. Not nice!Warm chocolate cake was okay and the decorated brownie with ice cream was also very nice.http://phuachiuyen.wordpress.com/2011/11/06/1st-year-anniversary-black-opal-the-jewel-box-mount-faber/ continue reading

Love the ambience. Had seafood spaghetti tossed with lots of vegetables. Pasta is soft and the sauce is flavourable. Prawn is fresh, tender and juicy. The fish is a little blend though. Overall, not too bad. A rather healthy dish i suppose. However, it's a little pricey. All in all, i'll patronise there again ! A great place for dating continue reading
