Introduction
Blackball was drawn from the idea of 'Xian Cao' being black in colour and taro 'balls'. 'Xian Cao' is a key inclusion in most traditional desserts across Taiwan. The company was founded and created by Mr. Tang in 2006 and is now one of the biggest dessert chains in Taipei with more than 20 outlets. It has also expanded to Malaysia and Singapore. continue reading

The famous dessert of black ball in Taiwan has attracted a number of residents. It is a nice cooling dessert . The signature of Black ball Signature 黑丸嫩仙草 could be enjoyed in 4 ways either. hot, cold, warm or icy. More review on blog : http://cennds.blogspot.comThe lovely pearl is so invited and soft well made. It is not thick at all  and all riched ingredients served in Black ball Signature i really like it. The finger-licking of taro yam added the whole dessert become more flavorous especially the soft sweet jelly bean continue reading

Went to BlackBall at Bugis+ with bf to satisfy my craving for Taiwanese desserts. But then we got a bit lost in deciding what to order. What I like about BlackBall is that here we can customize the dessert: choose the temperature (hot, warm, cold, or icy), the base and the topping(s). Customization is the best way when you can't pick anything from the menu (not saying their menus are not interesting, I just couldn't come up with any decision). We chose cold grass jelly base and added pearls (duh!), aiyu jelly and matcha balls as toppings. Creamer is also provided for those who want to make the dessert creamier. It was refreshing, and the portion was enough for 2. The toppings were given generously, except for the matcha balls (I could only find 3 balls!) haha. Overall, a good try. Craving satisfied. continue reading

Blackball is a Taiwan dessert eatery place. The best is the blackball signature. There is a choice of temperature, hot, warm, cold or icy. I prefer the warm one as the cold one is like ice kacang. The warm one is served with milk and inside there are all types of balls. Like yam balls, pumpkin balls, pearls, green tea, red bean etc topped with grass jelly. It is delicious. If you like milk tea, this sweet dish is a must try. The cold one will get diluted when the ice melt and it will muster the taste of the dessert. continue reading

I have tried blackball once and i really like it alot! this time round i went back but order less toppings than before. I only order grass jelly and pearl as the topping as i was feeling budget and it still taste very good to me it feels a bit like "eating" bubble tea instead of drinking it. the grass jelly is smooth and soft. pearl is very chewy and sweet. luckily it is not those pearl which is tasteless. A very highly recommended place for dessert if you haven't been to blackball before! continue reading

So many times we've had to leave because there were no seats. And finally, we got one today. My first time at blackball. And boy, is that an extensive menu.Of course I had the special. That's a cold version of the special. with YamQ, golden sweet potato, yam balls, sweet potato balls, red beans, pearls and grass jelly. While I love my desserts, this was just too much jaw work for me to really love. Don't get me wrong. They were probably all cooked well but i just had a lot of trouble chewing everything before i got tired of eating. The grass jelly however, is really smooth and melts in your mouth. continue reading
