I visited Blackballs when they first opened at IMM, they had a much bigger seating area than the one I frequented at, in Bugis+. You order your dessert at the counter, and you get a ticket number, the ticket numbers are called and you get your ice cold dessert.I love the sweet potato balls so we can them as an additional topping, their grass jelly is more like gui ling gao. I love the sweet potato balls so we can them as an additional topping, their grass jelly is more like gui ling gao. It is harder and starchier. But it is a very cooling dessert to be shared, or you can get an overdose of sugar by eating it yourself. They are usually quite generous with the servings, even for the drinks. I once ordered a soya milk with grass jelly and there was more grass jelly than soya milk.

My sister brought my mum and siblings to try Blackball and I tagged along for the ride. The Blackball Signature and Mix and Match both comes with creamer which I think is a unique addition to the dessert. It helps to sweeten the desserts besides the ingredients already present in it. For the Mix and Match I got the Ice Jelly, Pudding, Nata de Coco and Red Bean. I originally wanted to get the Grass Jelly and Fresh Milk but the cashier told me that it is already included in the dessert (not the fresh milk but have the creamer). I like the pudding cause its sweet and the ice jelly and grass jelly is very jelly-like and quite chewy. The Blackball Signature is also another great option but I least enjoyed the Blackball Crushed Ice. Didn’t have much flavour in it.

I was not really impressed by the service though. When we were at the cashier, she was counting money so my sister and I waited. Then she says to go on ahead and order but when we did, I had to repeat some of the ingredients for the Mix and Match one. Secondly when we collected our items, there were only 3 spoons. We asked for 3 more and they passed 3 plastic spoons reluctantly.

The small dessert shop is clad in black and white and offers a no frills dining experience. The desserts are really good and I would come back to try their drinks. Celebrity Zhang Yaodong seems to endorse the brand.

Decided to order their Classic Black Ball Crushed Ice. The picture differed slightly than the dish that came. It was interesting to have a bowl of grass jelly, though it's probably the first thing that disappeared. The red beans was overly sweet and I wasn't too fond of the boba. The yams and taros were decent, but the novelty wore off quickly. I'm glad to say I've tried it, but I don't think I'm going back there anytime soon unless there's 1) no line 2) i need a place to sit and chill

Blackball is never my favourite but there are having so many outlets in Singapore, hence, it becomes one of the more easily available dessert. So i went there with my friend and share the signature blackball with my friend! It costs around $5 which i think is slightly marked up. I do not like the grass jelly taste. But overall are still ok. The red bean was juicy and big. It was slightly crowded after dinner time, hence, it is always hard to get a seat there.

Went to Blackball dessert shop and ordered the Blackball Crushed Ice with the following sides - red bean, yam, sweet potato, black pearl and grass jelly ($4.90).The different variety of toopings provides a nice flavourful texture for the dessert. A nice refreshing treat. If you don't like the toppings, you can choose to order another item which allows you to mix and match the types of ingredients you want with your dessert.

After shopping at IMM, I felt very warm and thristy. Hence, I decided to go Blackball Cafe to buy some large cup of cold drinks.I ordered a cold grass jelly drink at $3. Looking at the cup size, it was very worth. The grass jelly drink has large quantity of chewy grass jelly inside. There was no crushed ice added inside, just fridge cold. The grass jelly tasted very herbal as compared to local ones.

It is my first visit to this dessert stall. It is a Taiwanese dessert stall. As I did not know what to order, I decided to get their signature dessert, the Blackball Signature. The creamer is separately provided, something which I like because I can control how much I want to add to my dessert. The dessert is surprisingly delicious. The grass jelly is very very soft and the yam balls and sweet potato balls are chewy which creates different textures. The red beans are sweet and soft and eating everything together is a burst of flavours and textures. The environment here is rather noisy and the spaces are a little cramped so it is best to have the dessert then go somewhere else if you are planning to have a longer chat.
