Introduction
BOTAK JONES® was born out of the idea that everyone should have access to well-made food of all types. Seeing a lack of good, well-made western food in the industrial and heartland areas, the good people at BOTAK JONES® deemed it timely to carve a market niche and take the heartlands by storm. continue reading

Decided to have botak jones for dinner. I ordered a NZ ribeye steak (200gm) @ $15.90. Initially, i wanted to order the ribeye lady cut (150gm) but it was unavailable that time. Had my steak medium, the meat was flavourful. However, some parts were quite tough though. Their fries were normal and quite thick, not the usual macdonald fries. As it was located at the kopitiam (outdoors), there were no aircon hence it will be really hot if you were to dine in the afternoon. continue reading

I remember fondly the days in my youth where I would spent loads of time gallivanting around Somerset. The teenage boy's tri-factor was ever so outstanding there - LAN gaming, Pool or Movies. And the good food! I was just all over Botak Jones back then. It's with a heavy heart that I write this review, recognizing that those days might just remain memories after my latest visit just last week. Everything looks the same but different. I ordered my favourite combo of Cajun Chicken Breast with 2 sides of Spicy Fries and Baked Cheese Potato. To its credit, the Cajun Chicken still tasted pretty nice. A hefty piece of chicken breast not overly cooked that it's still moist - with melted cheese and a tangy Cajun sauce on top. The fries were ok, but the Baked Cheese Potato was a show stopper. Served now in a disposable plastic cup rather than on the plate as it was before, the potato was wet and soggy towards the centre and bottom of the cup, and the flavours just weren't there anymore. The price difference was the pits though. A regular Cajun Chicken set would have set you back just $7.90 in the past, but now costs $10.30 after adding $0.80 for the Baked Cheese Potato. It's just too bad that things turned out this way, but I wouldn't recommend Botak Jones or be back for a return visit anytime soon. continue reading

I went to botak jones at the youth park for dinner with a couple of friends. I ordered their black pepper chicken. I must stay botak jones is kind of pricey but you really get what you pay for. My black pepper chicken cost slightly under $10 but the chicken meat was really thick and juicy. When you slice into it, you can see the juice oozing out. The chicken is grilled perfectly and the meat is very tender despite the thickness of the slab of meat. The black pepper sauce is indeed very peppery but it is not very spicy. I ordered their fries and coslaw as my sides. The fries they seasoned with chilli powder, it was a little spicy but really good, the fries are very crispy. The coslaw is very light and refreshing, it was a very filling meal. worth every cent i paid for it. continue reading

We popped by here for supper after catching a movie at the nearby Cathay Cineleisure. Ordered the Fish & Chips (with fries and coleslaw). Food took quite some time to come. Serving was large. But the fish was hard and very dry. We had a hard time trying to finish the food. It was our first time ordering the fish and chips from Botak Jones, and we are not sure how it would taste like normally, but our first attempt will also definitely be our last. continue reading
