whenever I walk past boulangerie I will always get their ice cream but sometimes, their service was quite bad because they actually saw me standing there and asked me to wait there while they served the customers who were eating in the restaurant, kind of like priority given to them. i got so annoyed I went off. but nevertheless, I had tea at boulangerie on a saturday afternoon and thankfully there werent a very huge crowd in the restaurant.ordered macarons (chocolate and hazelnut), strawberry milkshake, scones, and pistachio ice cream! service was prompt this time! they helped us with the ordering as we weren't sure what was nice on the menu. the kitchen ran out of jam for the scones we ordered and they went quick in getting the jam from another restaurant nearby and even told us how the scones should be eaten in order to enjoy it (it was our first time eating scones). the ice cream, as usual, tasted good! it's handmade everyday and not every flavour will be available everyday though! continue reading

As we had a $5 voucher to be used at any restaurants at resort world sentosa, we decided to get a cheesecake to try since we didn't have to pay too much for it. All the cakes looked so good but in the end we settled for the oreo cheescake. The cheesecake is quite rich and i like how the oreo blends in well with the cake too. Service was also fine but tends to slow down when it gets a little busy. continue reading

The moment you step into this restaurant, you will be quite impress with the trendy decoration in it and also the service staffs are very friendly and approachable as well. The choices of the gelato are quite wide and I usually will choose the standard flavour which includes the vanilla and chocolate. The texture is quite smooth and both flavours are equally delicious. You can choose to eat it on its own, or with their waffle biscuits as well. However the price is quite high and may not be able to attract the general crowds to buy it. continue reading

After our disappointing dim sum session at The Dining Room, it was decided that we would give Resorts World another chance by patronising their specialty dessert cafe, Boulangerie, located level two of Festive Hotel.Boulangerie turned out to be a disaster as well. I will not say much except that the macarons were Bakerzin quality and retailed for $2.30 instead of a dollar. The shells weren't crisp and tasted very stale. The other desserts purportedly had an Asian "twist" to them but some of them just turned out plain weird. Case in point, the Satin, a coconut cream dessert topped with pineapple. It tasted like Thai salad to me, which was just unnerving considering that its dessert. The raspberry tarte had a base that reminded me of compressed Danish cookies which would have been fine until you consider how hard it was. It was literally steel against rock as I tried to spear a piece of the tart with my fork.Only consolation of this place? They serve complimentary sky juice. continue reading
