Came here on a Monday morning, quite empty so can get seat easily. Café small and simple, but big windows let in plenty of natural light — whole place feel bright and comfy. Ordering very easy, menu just above counter, can see clearly while queuing. I tried the pulled pork eggs Benedict, chocolate cruffin and a flat white — solid combo. Quality and presentation very good, but price surprisingly reasonable compared to many other cafés. Really feels like value for money, good spot to enjoy breakfast or brunch without burning your wallet.…Read More

Cycled over for a quick brunch, tempted by the attractive pasta prices. I ordered the white wine vongole — clams were fresh and sweet, though the sauce lacked depth of flavor. Also tried the pulled pork eggs benedict, which was nicely executed and satisfying. Portion sizes for the pasta were rather small, so an option to add extra pasta would be appreciated. Despite this, it’s still a pleasant spot for an affordable brunch, and I’d return to try other pasta dishes that might stand out more.…Read More

Food here is really good value for money. The soup was fresh, hearty, and came in a pretty big portion, same for the bread. The bread itself was so light and fluffy — not surprising since they’re bread experts. The asparagus side with almonds was delicious too, very well done. And the free orange juice was a nice touch! Definitely a place I’d come back to for a simple, satisfying meal.…Read More

Reluctant to review this place since it’s already so popular on weekends, but I will give a credit where it’s due! If you want a comforting, filling breakfast with the family, Bread Yard is the spot. Families with young kids chowing down on tater tots and adults sipping aromatic coffee make for a lively atmosphere. There are ample seats for a party of eight, but expect a short wait if you come later, so early bird catches the worm.We had a little mishap with my kid spilling water over the table and floor, and the staff came over immediately to clean everything instead of just handing over paper towels. Their attentiveness really stood out and made the visit more enjoyable.…Read More

For the full review and more photos, head over to http://toroamtheworld.blogspot.com/2016/01/food-review-bread-yard.htmlBread Yard is a simple cafe selling sandwiches and all-day brunch dishes. It used to be located in the SUTD temporary campus in Dover Road which I've visited before, but has since shifted to Fusionopolis. The interior is quite small, in fact fewer seats and more cramped than their previous space.Candied Bacon and Grilled Cheese Pancakes ($9): Two thick stacks of fluffy pancakes served with grilled cheese sticking to the sides of the pancakes, a fried egg and candied bacon on top. The cheese was ooey and gooey and a real delight to chew on! The strips of candied bacon were a delicious too, although being salty as usual but it had some sweetness to it too. You can also tell from the photos that the pancakes were really fluffy. It was a great combination of sweet and savoury. The food has maintained their standard as in the previous location and I'm so glad they've continued to offer quality food at affordable prices. They are just a minute away from one-north MRT exit B so kudos to the convenience!…Read More
