The FoodThis is my virgin trip to Buffet Town. There is always a long long queue outside Buffet Town so I guess it should be good. Made a reservation before heading down so I do not have to queue. There are many food choices to choose from. When I first saw the varieties, I did not know where to start from. This is a good thing when it comes to buffet. The PriceIt was quite reasonable for the food variety and quality they provide. Worth a try!

ice-cream!

We all love the goreng pisang as well as the crepe! I am in love with their waffles and crepes!! The crepes are a must try!
Cakes were misses. They were rather disappointing.

Their service is rather good as they clear plates fast. This may be due to the lesser lunch crowd on a Tuesday afternoon. I noticed that their cutlery were not that clean though. I will definitely go back again for their seafood!

I liked buffet town, got a wide selection of food - japanes sushi, crabs, rojak, tappanyaki, fried stuff, spaghetti, pizzas, baked potatos, nonya/curries... Had been there many times and still liked it. Got a wide range of dessert too, I like the waffle and crepe, and icecream to go with it. Children will like to decorate them with colourful sprinklers, raisins, nuts. There is also a playground for children here.Value-for-money buffet

They serve International Seafood, Mixed Grilled & Teppanyaki. During the time we were there, they had a Nonya food promotion, where a section of the place is serving Nonya food. Some dishes where good, others where not that Great.

I tried their Grilled Chicken Satay and Chicken Wing. The taste is quite good and well marinated. I would recommend their Grilled item.

Near the exit is where they put the cold boiled Seafood. They have medium size prawn , scallops and wedges of lemon to good with it. There were quite a lot even though I only discovered it toward the end of my meals.

Near where I was sitting, is a station serving Tempura. It has Tempura Prawn, Vegetables, Pumpkin etc. The batch of freshly fried Tempura Prawn is gone as soon as it comes out. You help yourself to the Dipping Sauce.

I like the Tender White Chicken Rice and you can help yourself to the amount of rice. I wish the rice was more fragrant as the boneless chicken was tender and they have good dark sauce and ginger sauce.

They have a varieties of dessert from mini cake, ice cream, waffles and ice kachang etc.

The Nonya section was not good as the Nonya cake was hard and the Nonya dishes were so so.

Overall if you are a big eater or one to bring overseas friend to try different type of food, you can bring them to buffet town. Recommend the Grilled items and the Seafood. The cheapest timing is weekday lunch.

Do not expect too much from the buffet as the cooked food are (as usual) mass cooked and tasted so-so.

Pizzas, baked potatoes, spagehetti, sushi corner. Satays is my favourite...but super long queue. Recommend to reach Buffet Town early and get more sticks at the start, else the queue is unbearable...

I like their laksa too, esp with the tender chicken...

The children's playground is great for those with young kids. They could play there while you enjoy your meal. I think the playground was better in the past, with so many soft toys etc. My child still miss the playground which we visited last yr, but now not much things to play already, but still good...

First time visit to this buffet themed restaurant on a weekday evening and the place was already filled with hungry diners. Considering a buffet fan myself, the first thing I'll do when inside a buffet restaurant is to explore what kind of food variety they have got before settling myself to plates of delicacies. The appetizers section is just right next to the entrance, serving assorted sushi and of cos, sashimi. I took a few pieces of salmon sashimi and it was good, fresh and kinda melts in your mouth. Together with the sashimi counter is the salad bar and the cold cooked seafood section at the opposite. The fresh oysters seems to be the star at this counter as you will notice a queue after new batches of oysters are being replenished (which is good cos they really replenished their food).

The buffet town provides quite a number of cuisine: Italian pasta, "meat of the day", western, pizza, 2 kind of soup, Chinese cooked food, grilled BBQ, tepanyaki, local favorite (laksa, chicken rice, rokaj, chili crab), desserts and beverages section.

I've tried - Sashimi, Cold prawns, roasted chicken and marinated pork chops, chicken rice, laksa, satay (their satay sauce is good!), shisamo, grilled prawns, chicken soup, home made soya milk, desserts.

Speaking of desserts, I think their waffles are the best among all the food I've tried. Even went for my second helping... Haha! Other than that, I have to say that the other desserts are thumbs down, IMHO.

Overall, comparing the price and the variety/quantity of the food served, I'll say it is still fair and square. Service wise, the servers are attentive at times (sometimes too attentive that they cleared the plates without asking if you still want your remaining food...)

But it it still an enjoyable dining affair with my girlfriends!

I am a big fan of raw salmon, however as it always cost quite alot to tastes it at Japanese restaurant under their ala-carte menu. Now I have no more worries on this at all after I discover Buffet Town. The raw salmon here is very fresh and chewy. THe chef will regularly top up the raw salmon on their buffet spread so I have totally no worries on having insufficient portion of it. THe price is reasonable and this place is also great for friends and family gatherings as well.

If you are a super oyster lover, who just like me, must definitely go check out the buffet at this Raffles City. Very wide range of foods for you to select and my favourite section will be their cold dishes and raw foods. Their oysters are certainly one of the best which I have ever tried during a buffet session as they are very fresh and chewy, which if you add in some lemon juice on it will certainly even make it take better and more appetitizing. The environment is also nice and cosy too.

There are plenty of seats available and when I first stepped into the restaurant, I couldn't wait to try out the food because they look delicious!

I tried out my favorite sashimi and sushis first! They replenish the food pretty quickly and the food was quite fresh. However the variety available was quite limited. 6 types of sushis were available and for sashimi, they only served salmon and tuna.

Next, the hot food section had quite a good spread. It ranged from grilled food to deep fried food and curry.

Drinks was free-flow. They had peach tea, green tea, blackcurrent, lime juice etc, coke and all the other soft drinks etc. What was disapointing was that given the wide array of drinks available, they did not serve my favorite drink Sjora. Nonetheless, for non soft drinks lover, you would be delighted that they have a mini counter to cater to your likings! They have coffee, tea etc..( like those that you find in singapore's local coffee shop)

I can't emphasise how much I like the pizza! They had seafood, meatlover and cheese flavours! The portion of the meat, seafood and cheese was very generous. It was comparable to pizza hut's standard and I really like the pizzas they'd served! They also served ham, sliced jumbo hotdogs, chicken wings, fries(the usual fried food variety), potato etc. Though the dishes are pretty common, but it was quite delicious
Standard is there!(Y)

They had a salad bar as well as a whole row of grilled food available for those who like them! The grilled corn, chicken wings and satay was quite nice.
What was disappointing was the spread of the seafood available because they'd only serve prawns and oysters. However, considering the fact that I'd only paid $29.80, the buffet pricing was considered a steal already!

However, the dessert of buffet town needs a lot of improvement. It doesn't look tasty and a lot of it were just sponge cakes with cream on it. They served pancakes and waffles which was quite delicious compared to the one where I tried at kiseki buffet restaurant
The icecream variety was limited to 4 types of flavour and they are a few types of toppings available(the usual - rainbow sprinkles, chocolate bites etc..). They had sauces available too! The maple syrup, chocolate, strawberry sauces!

For those who like local dessert, they serve cheng teng and grass jelly too!

What I would like to emphasise about this restaurant is that the staffs are really friendly! When we were celebrating our friend's birthday, the staff came over to wish my friend happy birthday and they were really efficient in clearing the plates. The front desk counter staff needs to improve though. I had 4 people queuing ahead of me but I'd waited for 15 odd minutes despite plenty of seats available in the restaurant.

I had heard pretty bad remarks about buffet town before. However, I beg to differ. Overall I would say that for the spread, environment, cleanliness and pricing, I would patronise buffet town again!

Western , Chinese cuisine , peranakan , japanese and malay food.
Definitely something for all types of diners.
My friends were celebrating birthdays at that place and they went to just scooped icecream from the dessert area.
There was this staff that was so nice , she went to the dessert area and told the chef to get us a brownie and nice birthday decos!
