The Lor Mee here is quite good. Prices start from $2.50 and I got the $3.50 portion. As expected, the portion is quite big. There were some lor ba (fatty meat), char siew, wu chang, fish cake and fried fish. The wu xiang was fried until it was as crispy as biscuit. The gravy is also very delicious and makes you want to eat more. I will recommend you to try this if you are looking for good lor mee.

Ever wonder why would someone queue up for more than half an hour for a bowl of Lor Mee to satisfy their taste buds? This is a common sight for Bukit Purmei Lor Mee Stall daily. Their diehard fans would just join in the snaky queues and grab a bowl of it to warm up their stomach. Silvia dripping? A trip down to Bukit Purmei is worth the while.

I'm quite particular on its Yellow Noodles when it comes to Lor Mee and would immediately strike off any dish if any strong "ki" smell of the noodle is present.

Besides the ingredients as the main criteria for a winning bowl of Lor Mee, its gravy does plays an important role, giving the ensemble a savoury finish.Condiments like their vinegar and finely chopped garlic were added to give another punch to the dish.

It comes in three sizes priced at $2.50 (Red bowl), $3 (Green Bowl) and $3.50 (yellow bowl).

A standard bowl of Lor Mee consists of slices of lean Lor Bak, crunchy bits, ngor hiang and char siew. The fragrant braised sauce was consistent and one would not feel "jerlat" even having such a big bowl. The plus point was its cripsy bits which remains a good cripsy texture after being soaked into the sauce.

Even i reached at 7.45am morning at sunday, I waited for about 20 mins in the queue and about 10 people in the queue. There were 2 aunties cooking, one prepare the noodles and another pour the gravy in(they aren't that fast either) so thankfully they limited the order to max 4. You can order small ,med or large bowl from starting from $2.5,3,3.50.You can choose your choice of noodles or mix. To me, is quite nice and even attracted my relatives staying at the north side like to come down to eat.

I ordered 3 bowls of lor mee for breakfast with 2 friends to start my day , I waited 15 minutes for the noodle. For those people who come during the weekends or public holidays , the common waiting time will be at least 45 minutes. Advisable to come early to avoid the crowds. Nowadays , the boss only limit to a maximum of 4 bowls of lor mee order unlike in the past , the customer can place an order up to 10 bowls or packets. I am a regular customer since year 2007 , the lor mee full of different types of ingredients ( slices of char siew , fish cake , fish fillet , meat , fried crispy crust , etc )

Do give it a try ! Delicious !!!!!

Well, for the smaller bowl, I had everything all in, except for the cut chilli. The shiok-ness comes from nibbling on the crunchy, savoury fried bits batter coated. The sweet, soury, gooly, slimy, gooey, slimy sauce is all what this bowl of Lor Mee is all about!

Every mouthful of lor mee that I had put into my mouth is tasty, even though that I just had the dish yesterday, the thought of the taste and smell still lingers in my head. I had taken this shoot is simply because I want to further add on that every spoonful that I had, consists of the fried crumbs and I had finished the whole bowl of lor mee including its delicious gravy!

Service
Self Service and you have to wait up to 30 minutes.

Ambience
Snake queues. I had waited 30 minutes for my food even at 2pm + on a sunday. Coffeshop is mainly packed with people eating its lor mee!

Price
Pricing is reasonable as portion is filling.

Recommendation / Tips
If you want to avoid queues, be there early in the morning say 7am and there will be no queue.

This is one of the original Tiong Bahru Lor Mee that moved from the already demolished old Tiong Bahru to the current location. They are located in a coffee shop along Bukit Purmei. There is constant long queue even during the off peak hours. The braised sauce is a bit thin but still flavourful. I got to choose the type of noodle i want. They cooked the noodle, placed the ingredients like char siew, fishcake, ngor hiang and braised egg then poured the braised sauce. The is easily one of the best

Check out the very very long queue! To get your tummy on the Best Lor Mee in Singapore, this is the price you pay. At peak hour, you may need to wait for 45min. Thick gooey bowl of Lor Mee with lots of ingredients like char siew, bean sprouts, some fried crispy thing that is so good for the taste buds but so bad for the heart. Thick lovely noodlesAbsolutely delicious. Being a teo chew, I actually prefer the kway teow version. And yes with lots of vinegar, garlic and chili.

Located in a coffee shop at the void deck of a small housing estate, this famous lor mee is well-known to draw large crowds during lunch time. When I went there for lunch today, I had to queue for 20 minutes before I got my noodles.A $3 bowl of Bukit Purmei lor mee comes with a satisfactory variety of delicious ingredients e.g. ngor hiang, fish cake, braised meat, char siew, meat nuggets etc. Like Yuan Chun Famous Lor Mee at Amoy Street, its mouthwatering gravy is its winning factor.

This lor mee is very popular and you will have to wait for about 15 - 30 mins. It has a lot of ingredients in it and it is very They actually have small medium large for you to decide which you would want to get. It is really very nice and totally worth the wait. I am usually not really a lor mee fan but this particular stall's lor mee has won me over.
