We'll probably be coming here - again, tonight... because it's St. Pat's Day!Anyway, can't possibly take photos while drunk or tipsy and when it's night time, and when there's lots of people looking at what you're doing. And the management has serious issues with people taking photos of their drinks, etc... It's our regular drinking hole because it's just downstairs from our workplace. And at night it seems pretty packed - especially Wednesday - Friday. Weekend it's pretty much dead with no one around.Drinks are standard prices - about $13++ for a normal "pint". A "pint" in Singapore seems to be different sizes in different places and different to the American pint size. The service here is pretty unsmiling and the female staff try to dress and act like Hooter girls. They are pretty rude and unfriendly too. Always barking at you like you owe them something. And they always take your change and don't come back with it until you ask for it 3 times. I think it's a tactic they use to "hold" on to your money so that you have an open "tab" with them. The mannerisms of the staff is really bad so we try our best not to interact with them and ignore them unless we really need a drink. Sometimes they don't get you what you ordered till 20 minutes later!! It's just beer! When it comes to ordering, they don't ask IF you want to reorder. They're ASKING you to reorder...I am pregnant and can't drink alcohol of course, so I brought my own bubble tea. Along with 7 drinking men. And these men are heavy drinkers! If each man drinks 7 beers in the duration of 120 minutes, how much is that making this joint??So this staff said "no outside drinks allowed" when she saw my bubble tea. And we all stared at her. What am I going to order at the pub when I am pregnant? I like my bubble tea. Does she want me to take my SEVEN heavy drinkers away to another pub, like Harry's where they let me bring whatever food and drinks I liked and don't even say a word? The staff here really need training in hospitality! Did she think she was doing us a favour by letting us sit there to drink??The service here is ALWAYS terrible. Anyway, we usually grab a few drinks, scull them down and split the joint quickly as it gets really super noisy and smokey as people smoke everywhere and they have to shout above others to be heard. And the staff gets on our nerves pretty quickly too.If not for the convenient location we probably won't patronise this joint. Harry's has MUCH better service. continue reading
