Café Galilee (Closed)

Mrupupup took some rest at the old Queenstown library at 53 Margaret Drive and had a good rest at Cafe Galilee. Just loved this library for it was quiet and people just came in to have a chat and read books. So after i tried the cream based one, i tried abit of my friend's tomato sauce based Spaghetti, it is same as the cream based one except it is tomato sauce. It is very tasty too, as i think you shouldn't add any cheese powder or any toppings because it will spoil the taste. It is $6.50 as that is the cheapest spaghetti in the menu, see how poor are we? haha just kidding you should try it.

Hi, this is called Mushy spaghetti, its $6.50 and its mushroom spaghetti, I chose the cream based instead of the tomato sauce based one. I added cheese powder because i think it tastes better. When it come out serving, the cream looks like someone just puked on the spaghetti, and yes it looked pretty grossed but it smell tasty. The noodle is soft but not soggy, it has a smooth texture and it is easy to bite. Anyway, i think its quite expensive.

As it is very hot outside, I decided to stay in this cafe to have a drink before going home. There are a few varieties of drinks and I chose a cold coffee beverage. It tastes something like the ice blended drinks that we get from Starbucks or Coffee Bean and for a cafe like this, I thought their drinks are quite nice. It isn't too artificially sweet and the combination of cream, ice, milk, sugar and coffee is just right and well balanced.

Their roast chicken leg is abit dry while their fish and chip taste good. The fish and chip is quite big and thick. Each dish cost about $8. I like the softness of the pasta that was cooked…almost perfect in my opinion. The sauce matches too. Look forward to try their other dishes .

Had their spaghetti here for lunch as the surroundings of the library that usually holds margaret drive food centre has already close down, so we settles our lunch here. It is good that their is a cafe here to cater to those that are here to study and to borrow books. The spaghetti was not bad and the portion of it was rather filling too. This fish and chips is not bad.The fish is crispy and i like the freshness of the fish.The side of french fries and potato salad is not bad also but the amount is quite few.As the side dish is small,so the fish chips is very big in size.I like to squeeze the lemon on it,so it taste nicer.But i dont like their style to give chilli sauce,i more prefer the bottle one than this packet one..

My sister and I were hungry and we wanted to get some finger food. So we got the potato wedges. The potato was well fried. Usually it is very oily or it will not be fried properly and you have to request how you want it to be. However, when I went the other day, it was well fried. The price is very reasonable as there was a lot of wedges. Definitely worth the money.

I like the idea of having a cafe in the library. Very nice place to relax after studying. The cafe in Queenstown library has got very good customer service. They are very friendly. I ordered the cookies and cream moo. Well basically, it is blended cookies and cream. It is very nice. The both compliment each other very well. It is a very nice mixture. Very tasty, quite sweet. It is very fresh and creamy. A drink i would definitely recommend. The price is also quite reasonable

The name of this blended is very cute…cookies and cream in Love The taste is very nice and I would certainly try it again next time. There is this discount card for hot or cold drinks that is worthwhile to buy.I got the card for cold drink at $19 for any 5 cold beverages and that would make any drink beverage at $3.80.Most of their cold beverage starts from $5 onwards. So there is saving of $1 and more with such card. Also, their cafes are about $3+
