Cafe Swiss serves decent international buffet lunch, with a capacity of 210 dine in restaurant. The restaurant uses natural lighting from its overhead glass roof thus it can get pretty warm on a hot day.Though the food selection isn't much but it serves slightly better quality of food. Just because it is located in town area, it cost slightly more than other buffets. However for the price I'm paying with the spread, I would go else where more money worthy places. I love the dessert corner most as they have some yummy desserts that I like.

If you love to have a delicious food festival this season, I would like to recommend you to be heading towards here with your family and friend for enjoying the delicious International cuisine.

My personal favourite was the Hot Station as the Gammon Ham they were serving tasted really fantastic! The Dessert Station was quite delectable as well with irresistible sweet treats that were delicately prepared.
The variety of food from their Japanese/Seafood Station paled in comparison to the other stations, although by no means of lesser standard or quality! There were only salmon sashimi, cold prawns and clams

Overall, it’s still worth a visit for the ambience, service and quality of food!

The Cafe Swiss is an elegantly, soothingly-darkly lit restaurant that is aptly described as its counterpart outlet in Swissotel Tallinn as “a modern restaurant with an inviting aura of contemporary elegance, warmth and a breath or inspirational charm”.

The quietly polite waiter escorted us to our reserved table after checking with us if we would like buffet or ala carte dinner; we opted for the latter, setteld in, and placed our orders.

Amelia* had the Sole Fish Fillet – creamily baked to tender perfection, bringing out the freshness of the sweet-fleshed fish. The flavours of this healthy dish was jazzed up with fine sprinkles of herbs / spices and are served alongside sweet cherry tomatoes, tiny chunks of baked potatoes and asparagus. She delighted in the colorful arrangement of this dish as well as the tastiness of it.

I had the Crispy Pork Knuckle served in a pan, surrounded by German potato salad, radish chunks and whole-grain mustard. It was a very hearty dish, one eaten best over drinks – I loved the crispiness of the skin of course, as unhealthy as it probably was. The meat within was firm but not hard, and while rather bland, the texture was great when chewed along with the crisps of its skin. The mustard grains and chunks of radish and potatoes were delicious as well, but too much to take in overall; it was a rather large portion, which is good news for the big eaters.

Started off w the greens and the wide selections of salad in big pots - taste decent. Moving on to their savory dishes, a variety of picks for cheese fondue. Pasta & Omelette station - A choice of tomato or mushroom sauce for your pasta. I had numerous servings of it because of their flavorful mushroom sauce w generous servings of mushroom. Delicious! What's Christmas without roasted turkey? Serving alongside were the German sausages as well. Not to miss the Japanese station, assorted sushi and salmon sashimi. Sashimi were average, not too fresh either. Seafood cold section - Chilled clams, mussels and fresh prawns.

The dessert section were pleasant and satisfying though the variety were limited, considering it's a lunch buffet. There were the log cakes and festive fruit cakes as well! We end off with some sweets from a spread of cakes to pick from.

Café Swiss is a buffet that offers a limited spread yet good quality of food. Some were above our expectations while some fell short. Is it worth it? Read more at http://jacqsowhat.blogspot.sg/2013/12/cafe-swiss-festive-lunch-buffet.html

Cafe Swiss - a not too recent addition to the Swissotel family and specialising in traditional Swiss and European Cuisine. Honestly, I have but a vague idea of what constitutes Swiss cuisine. My idea of Swiss food goes as far as Cheese Fondue. Its shameful really, considering that I had a Swiss buddy in school while I was pursuing my college education.

Far from the maddening crowd, in a private space with a soaring ceiling on the second level of Raffles City, Cafe Swiss provides the perfect place to have that idyllic dinner as crowds are scarce and the ambience is one of contemporary elegance infused with soothing comfort.

The de facto opening dish - complimentary bread. Although Cafe Swiss serves up various varieties of bread in a neat napkin wrapped basket, none of them impressed me at all. Not to mention they weren't the least bit warm as well. So much for the purposeful napkin.

Veal Emince Zurichoise - Sliced veal and button mushroom on morel cream sauce with roesti potato. Interestingly, I never had veal done this way thus this dish proved to be an eye opener for me. Not that it tasted out of this world though. The veal was done medium well with the button mushrooms wedged between the rolled up veal. All of which was served on a bed of rice (Risotto Sure tasted like it) with the morel(type of mushroom) cream sauce. Honestly, the veal was a tad too salty for my liking but I do like the texture and the flavour of the veal and this dish as a whole especially with the infusion of the cream sauce. Look out for the small portions though.

Papet Vaudois - Smoked pork sausage on leek and potato stew. Firstly, the sausage didn't taste smoked to me. Second, it lacked the exploding juices effect when popped into the mouth. However, having said that, it was nice and flavourful but could have been better. A plus point was its huge size.

Carrot cake - First looks didn't impress me much as the cake looked unevenly sliced with carrots protruding out from the sides. Taste wise was decent, with the sugar top not too sweet and the cake tasty from the walnuts, almonds and carrots within. However, it was a little too dry, which is a bummer really.

I would like to think that through this meal, I have learnt what Swiss cuisine is all about. Unfortunately I'm none the wiser even after spending > $70 for 2 pax (before discount).

We had a veal dish with mushrooms in a morel cream sauce, served with rosti potatoes. The burger was quite tender and not dry, just maybe slightly lacking in salt
The food, while still a bit pricy, was surprisingly very good. Service was outstanding too. Definitely worth a visit to try some European fare.

Brunch at Cafe Swiss is quite interesting. With a wide range of international cruisines to choose from, you will not have the chance to rest your stomach. Most of thedishes are quite nice. I especially love their chocolate mousse cake, simply sinful but delicious! You will always want to have the second piece after the first one. Environment is also nice and spacious. My verdict: 7.5/10
